Score from 2114 reviews Good
Proximity to Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park, etc. Friendliness of the staff (mostly foreign) The view (14th floor room)
3-only teabags. (Why place tea-making facilities in the rooms if you can´t afford it?) Empty fridge though a card listed all the things it (should have) contained!. Inadequate bathroom facilities. Overpriced and undersized afternoon teas and dinners. I feel I paid a high price just for a good situation.
Everything - can't fault it.
If I was forced to say something, I say the lifts are slow. So, after an event there can be a bit of a queue.
This hotel is at the side of Hyde Park, so ideal if attending the Proms in the Park or the Radio 2 Festival in the Park and other festivals/events held in the park.
Immediately adjacent to Hyde Park, where we were attending a concert. Good attentive staff, nice bar area. Lovely beds, very comfortable.
18 Floors and no customer stairs, only emergency fire stairs. My wife doesn't like lifts and we were on the 15th Floor. Had to use the lifts, which were fine, but a bit stressful for her.
Air conditioning was too noisy
Proximity to Hyde Park and ease of access to Proms in the Park. Reception staff very helpful particularly a lovely young lady called Eden
Hotel starting to look a little tired at the edges....paintwork in need of freshening up etc. Horrendous queues at breakfast on the Sunday morning and someone needs to teach the kitchen staff how to make porridge! Poached eggs were like bullets as were the boiled eggs. Dining room resembled a cattle market....not at all a pleasant experience.
Food and drink opportunities Location, location, location Quality if service from staff
A bit dated and musty in some areas. Availability of staff
Fantastic bed - extremely comfortable, slept like a baby!
Erm - the bathroom could have been a bit bigger...
Good location and friendly staff. Ideal for special occasion
Breakfast room cramped
It took 45 min to check in, further 1 hour to get an upgrade of the room on the next day and another 30 min to confirm the room and get the keys. Noone cares if you are tired or less able to stand in the queue - the service in general was disastrous
Everthing was fine
Every thing was great.
Location. Great staff!!
Denied a previously approved early check in.
Right next to Lancaster Gate station (tube) and Paddington Station (Heathrow Express) Rooms nice Concierge very helpful
Reception not helpful Didn't answer the phone numerous times Couldn't find my reservation Had to move rooms - wifi doesn't work in all of them Everything - all extras very expensive
The location is ideal and all rooms have open views. Staff are cooperative. Good facilities. Good for business and leisure.
Room size just adequate for 2.
Where ever i go one of the first things i concern about breakfast. Breakfast was really nice. Staff are friendly and location is the best. I would stay next time again when i will visit London.
The only thing i dislike is that wifi connection was quite poor.
1- The location. 2- Reception staff. 3- Concierge staff, specially Sandra.
1- The furniture need some improvement. 2- The Furniture at the lounge area need to be changed asap, this is very important; also it is needed to have some service for hot and soft drinks and snacks. 3- A seating area for smoking at the outer entrance with hot and soft drinks service is badly required.
The Hospitality of hotal
The noise from some people working and it is too loud voice to my room
Good location Reasonable standard of room - a bit dated and rather small bathroom
An unfortunate start to our stay: Our intended room was not ready so we were allocated another. It was a twin but we had booked at double, so we had to wait while it was re-arranged. The TV did not work. 2 calls before it was fixed. The next day no one came to clean and service the room (2 calls before finally cleaned at 5pm) and there were workmen outside drilling and hammering on our wall until around 6 pm. It was as though we had been given a room that was not due to be occupied. Thereafter, things went as they should.
We paid extra for a room with higher spec but when we arrived it was not available. They seemed unable to understand that their offers of other things would not compensate for the disappointment on my wife's birthday celebration. I have been a regular business user of this hotel, I would never risk booking to stay there again
size of rooms bathroom room service
The service was professional, pleasant and welcoming. Staff were very helpful. Location was really good, best feature of the hotel.
Wifi was good but a tad slow and was weak at edge of room. Room service food was great, but would have preferred a wider selection on the menu.
Bed was comfortable. Close to Hype Park and shops at Queensway. Close to Lancaster underground station
Price is higher than the standard of the hotel.
