Horatio's restaurant is the best value meal we had in Portsmouth. Staff are very pleasant, helpful, and care about the club.
Suitable for my requirements.
Could use some updating.
Great location, very helpful staff, rather quirky. Would recommend to friends.
Bit tired looking.
Friendly staff. And free wifi. Helpful
Having to check in after 2 & 10am check out.
Location, could not be bettered. Gunwharf Quays, historic dockyard very close. Bus and rail station close. The whole city at your convienience.
Air conditioning, machinery noise ! At 6.30am. Club still has air of service establishment. To get to room had to use ancient lift and passageway that had not be redecorated.
Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff. Simple and clean room.
Breakfast was very simple-just English breakfast no continental. Rooms were very plain...could do with new bed cover and new curtains, new lamps just to give a modern fresh look ...looked really really old!
Good quality rooms, very good breakfast. Friendly staff and plenty of them.
Stains on carpets, no parking, loose bathroom fittings, overly sensitive thermostat on shower, poor seal on shower door, excessive water on bathroom floor, loose toilet roll holder caused toilet roll to fall off repeatedly.
Very quiet at night. Helpful friendly staff (let us park motorcycle in staff carpark at back). Reasonable choice at breakfast. Very good location for Historic Dockyard and Gunwharf Quays. Good local pub just round corner.
Bed wasn't the most comfortable. No telephone in room.
The room was spacious as was the bathroom ,plenty of towels and toiletries. Coffee making facility was also welcoming. The breakfast was very good, and lots of it, staff were swift to serve.Great location.
The rooms were rather dated and could do with decorating.
Hotel Staff great the room a bit dated but clean. Breakfast excellent!
Bathroom had mould around the bath / shower area. This is my pet hate that can easily be sorted with mould cleaner spray!!
Great location, breakfast lovely
great location, near all of sight seeing locations.breakfast best in pompey.will make this hotel our hotel after trying a lot this is far the best.nice friendly staff .see u all in october
Perfect location. Staff friendly very helpful and cheerful. Breakfast good variety great way to start the day.
Hotel room in need of repair and decorating. Handle on toilet had to be pumped for flush to work. Bed not comfortable. Pillows flat.
The breakfast was excellent
The décor was a little tired. Parking space limited
Good first impression
The decor and carpets were worn and grubby
Room was OK (ask for the new ones)
Wifi only worked at the lobby. Lift and corridors leading to the new alley (where my room was) were very old , shabby and smelled as 30 years old carpets.
Bed/pillows of poor quality
Lovely nautical atmosphere. The library was fantastic, as were all the prints and ropework embroidery round the walls. The swimming pool looked really inviting, but did not have time to try it. Excellent supper and breakfast..
Carpets were all a bit grubby in the West Wing. It all looked in need of a bit of TLC, unlike the downstairs area and entrance.
The fact that it was so close to the sights at the naval dockyard, the food was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff.
Good choice in buffet breakfast Bed very comfortable Central locality
milk sachets not uht and milk went sour overnight view over rooftops disappointing
Helpful regarding hotel amenities and local sites nearby. Welcoming on arrival with a smile - that is important.
Limited parking; ( though we got there early and got a place which we were allowed to keep for two hours even after checking out). Room entry cards were serviced while we were there and caused some problems which were quickly resolved by the front desk.
