Friendly stuff, cosy environment with a strong naval theme, good english breakfast. The heating is central apparently or there was no obvious way on how it could be started so I would freeze to death in the morning. Also Portsmouth is a really boring city...

Friendly staff and always willing to assist, excellent service on checking in as we were blue badge holders no problem with getting parked up and assisted with our lugguge, always look forward to staying with you, Thank you. Chris & Peter Copper We both liked everything - sorry but we are unable to complain .. !

Stayed here in March 4nts and again 3 nts May returning for 1 nt stay in June Location Good Clean Food Good Same comments as in March. Public Areas need updating and redecorating. Stayed in standard room this time ,if this is as all standard rooms then adequate but again needs updating

Staff friendly and helpful,room was bright and clean with plenty of soft towels, shampoo,conditioner,soap etc.Shower was clean and plenty of space plus full supply of coffee,tea and everything else you would need.Breakfast very good again clean and comfortable. really cant think of anything

Very good value for money and excellently situated for waterfront shopping and restaurants. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Quick access to motorway and within walking distance to town centre (about 10 mins). For the money, no real dislikes

Location was great,just a few minutes walk to the shops and restaurants at Gunwharf. Breakfast was good. Our room was very small compared to the other twin room booked at the same time that our friends had. Plumbing was very noisy.

We felt the staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. The room was spartan though comfortable. The small pool was used and enjoyed. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Paid £90 for a two including breakfast. Room felt a bit like a travelodge in all aspects. Mature couple; tv screen too small even with my glasses on. Pool was shabby with mould on tiles and in need of a refurb. Maybe other rooms are better - benefit of doubt. Probably not stay there again.

Excellent VFM. Staff were very friendly. Location was convenient. Although I didn't get a parking bay, the permit for 24 hours parking was only £2.50 which was good. The building was very interesting and the interior was of good architectural merit. The hotel smelt a little like a care home. The pool facility wasn't the most desirable.
