It was an ok room, not a good value for money hotel.
The location was ideal, right on the sea front and walking distance from the town centre, the room was fine, had a sea view which was very pleasant just struggled to get to sleep as was hot night so had the window open and because it was a sea view could hear everyone else coming back home from the pubs the same as I had done.
I had a one night stay here to visit friends who I had not seen and the hotel was a bit like an old peoples home, we all felt very out of place. It certainly catered towards the older clientele.
The Norfolk was a pleasant enough place to stay.
We had a very tired looking room but it was clean.
The staff were very helpful on what was a busy weekend for them with a music festival in the grounds. Breakfast was lovely.
It was an incredibly hot night and air con would have been great, or a fan in the room.
We were in Bognor to attend a funeral and the Royal Norfolk Hotel, situated right on the sea front provided us with an excellent base. Our room, although not overlarge was clean and comfortable. The bed had a new, thick mattress on it and the bed linen and towels were also very clean. The food was delicious, well cooked and presented. Really good value. Perhaps not a place for young people and small children it did however seem perfect for the older traveller. The staff were attentive, hard working and always polite despite some very grumpy (attention seeking?) visitors.
Sadly, some of the public area lavatories were a trifle smelly. It suited our needs admirably otherwise.
sleeping accommodation was good
parking facilities were not good but appreciate a pop concert was operating that day. I did, in fact, finish up with a damaged car.
staff food and generally everything
Lovely old style hotel and room clean and comfortable with all we needed for one night. Easy parking on site. Right on top of the sea front, and with a large garden to the front setting it back nicely from the main road.
Could only see a brick wall from our room on the ground floor but otherwise no problem with hotel. However Bognor Regis is not the nicest of towns and would not go back. Did visit Littlehampton not far along the coast, and this was totally different and we would visit there again. They are currently rebuilding the seawalls but even those works did not detract from the pleasantness of the area.
Lovely room with sea view and good breakfast and dinner
On the last day notice said bar open for snack lunch bot didn't open
Room looked out on rooftops
the position of the hotel
the room and the creaking floorboards in the hallways the rush in the dinning room
The room was clean and the bed comfortable. We enjoyed having waiter service for breakfast.
room not ready at 2pm book in, told to come back around 4pm .
Excellent dining room service. Good menu selection. Comfortable room with excellent sea view. Good position for the town.
Poor lighting in the bathroom.
The food here was excellent and the staff helpful. Although this was a 2 star hotel and maybe the decoration showed that. It did not detract form our stay and I was more than pleased with the room and bathroom. Very clean in all areas.
Could have more towel rails, bathroom more than big enough to accommodate this. As only one small towel rail, our towels were put together which meant we did not know whose towels were whose. personal dislike. would not stop me coming back though.
Proximity to seafront, staff friendly.
Had a fairly spartan room No. 16 overlooking a messy roof top and service area (probably kitchen yard). Wasn’t worth £107 a night.
Superb location. Lovely staff.
The cooked breakfast was ready in 30 seconds (no exaggeration)This resulted in a rather re-heated, plastic looking meal that wasn't really appetising! Check in was too late and there was a drip from the ceiling in the restaurant. The lounge bar wasn't always open in the day time for a relaxing drink.
Service tt slow
Staff were very professional and also very friendly. Allowed my son (who lives in Bognor) a parking pass, so he could spend time in the hotel with us.
The bathroom did not have a bath and the mattress was too soft (it actually dipped down at the edge) so I felt like I was going to fall out of bed.
Someone set off the fire alarm twice, just after midnight. The walls are very thin, you can hear every movement from the corridors and lift.
View from window, newly decorated & cleanliness
Speed of service in restaurant - felt rushed , but food fine
Sea view, clean room
Superior single room sounded much better so got that- the difference- there was a bath. Breakfast served worryingly quick within 1 minute of ordering
The staff are really wonderful, kind and caring. The hotel has enormous potential and a great location, with a bit of investment it could be fantastic.
There are incontinence sheets on the bed, the hotel has a 'nursing home' smell and the menu in the restaurant is definitely geared towards the over-70s (bland, easily digestible and simple-British). Oh, and no wi-fi apart from in the bar/reception area.
Where it located right on sea front with plenty of parking and only minutes from the shops and its history, staff were excellent, and food ( breakfasts ) were gorgeous and it was extremely clean throughout
Although I stated when booking that I had limited mobility and would be using a walker they did not take this into consideration when giving us a room ( room 7 ) Although there was a lift to the 2nd floor there was still 5 step staircase down to our room which I struggled with
Good sized single room with lovely sea view. Ample parking and easy walking to centre.
Coach party staying.
