1950's caravan style plastic bathroom!
no lift (means anyone with heavy luggage or babies etc could not possibly get to the rooms easily!!) on TV only a few channels worked at all !! beautifluuly decorated entrance hall, but the rooms and staircase are grotty and rundown; signage very confusing !
Close to paddington
No lift, no wifi, dirty, noisy
Small room which was hot (no air con) and noisy.
In need of some TLC and a working lift. All very tired and worn but ok for a very short stay. We got what we paid for I suppose, as it was a reasonable price for centre of London
Stained carpets, grubby decoration, noise from other rooms, no double glazing so noise from outside, dirty toilet, holes in bathroom flooring,no fire safety door, stains on ceiling, queuing for breakfast, poor quality breakfast.
Low price. Right next to Paddington. Quite clean.
Heat. Lack of air conditioning or any way to cool room down. Noisy fan outside meant window couldn't be opened. Shower was quite small and didn't drain well.
the cleanliness and the location staff are friendly
the run down state of the hotel carpets in a state of dis-repair the curtains were in poor condition the front of the hotel is noisy
Location was perfect with proximity to Paddington Station and also able to jump on hop on hop off bus out the front of hotel. English breakfast was great and service was excellent. Shops and restaurants within minutes.
The stairs would be a battle for older patrons carrying luggage but was ok for us. Shower area was too small and impossible to shower without the shower curtain contacting your body.
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION
Breakfast was excellent. Waitresses were polite and very efficient. The rooms were kept cleaned and towels changed daily. The Hotel was in a very convenient position for the buses, underground trains, etc. Would come again.
The only downside to staying at the Royal Norfolk Hotel was the fact that the lift was not working and we had to carry our heavy cases up three flights of stairs, which as we are elderly, was very difficult. Also the en-suite was very tiny and we had difficulty in using the wash-basin and shower.
Room extremely small. We were on the second floor Kent. Firstly it was a hassle having to climb up and down so many stairs. Room was extremely hot and noisy, it seemed we were above a/c units trapping the heat in our room and unable to sleep due to the noisy units. A nightmare.
No air conditioning or Wifi
Quite room; clean bathroom; acceptable breakfast; good location, next to tube station.
The stairs; the elevator did not work; room size very small; reception staff not helpful; nobody to help you with your heavy luggage.
staff location near the square and the station and the resturants
no where to sit at a desk and work.show flow was very poor
I like the location of Hotel
No Elevators in Hotel Very Small Rooms Very Small toilets Bad Smell in rooms and walking area Carpet is very old and looking ugly
Breakfast & staff were good. Reception staff very helpful
The hotel needs lots of money being spent on it, ceiling in corridor falling down, radiators rusty etc.
Convenient- nearby station.Interior shabby and very tired but you get what you pay for.
Certainly didn't look anything like the photos. No decaf coffee - I wasn't the only person to ask.
Good solid breakfast, ideal to start your day. Pleasant service Excellent location, sitting just next to Paddington station with direct links to the Underground and Railway. Hyde Park just minutes away on foot. Plenty of Food and Drinks options in the area.
The tiniest bathroom I have ever experienced.
The Price and location
The noise and extremely small room
Staff, Room, View from room, Beds, immediate staff coming to rectify any issue They provided child cot to me which was really really required.
Stairs only very hard for old people or people with babies. Although staff helped us and I am courteous to them for that. Smell of new paint in Hotel not in Room.
Space inside room
the hotel location was excellant, just a few minutes walk from paddington station.the bed linen was changed daily along with the towels.also fresh toiletries replaced daily.
the bathroom was ridiculously small and the shower too,i dont think i have ever seen such a small bathroom even a caravan has a larger one! the room was also very hot and the windows only opened a fraction, plus the breakfast could have done with being hot not luke warm.
breakfast was excellent, good coffee, nice waitress, towels changed daily, comfy bed, right next to station & underground
remote for tv didnt work, shower & toilet in a tiny area, electricity tripped in night
