This friendly bed and breakfast-hotel is just minutes from Hyde Park and close to Oxford Street for shopping. Paddington Station is just a 2-minute walk away and has train services to Heathrow...

Only Location just 1 min to Paddington station. Also wifi speed is ok.
Our 3rd night the hotel door was locked when we returned to the hotel around 2.30 AM and it was freezing outside. We rang the bell many times and called their number nobody answered and after waiting 25 minutes receptionist came out from somewhere and opened the door. He was obviously sleeping! My wife got cold and became ill rest of the days of our stay. -Very small room -Very small shower(less than 1 square meter) -Very noisy because of air conditioner(avoid room 140)
The guy at the front desk was extremely impolite, non-cooperative, chicky and shouldn't be working in the hospitality business
I could probably stand that the hotel's interior and decor is worn out, that the temperature in the room is over 40 degrees without possibility to regulate it, that the hotel is located in the noisy area with the constant all night long noise from the nearby pubs, that the wc flushing is not working, that the TV is probably older than me and without the remote controller, that they are promoting bedrooms with the wi-fi which actually is not working etc, but I cannot stand the rude behavior and the chicky comments from the guy at the reception desk.
I liked the friendly stuff and their services. The hotel is located near Pddingtont station and Edgware road.
On suite was very very small
The room was clean and warm, staff were cheerful and kind. Everything looked so genuine. I did not have the opportunity to for breakfast but I could see a lot of people were happily enjoying their breakfast on my way out in the morning. Bed was very comfortable. Location was very good as it was only 5 second to Paddington station. Would definitely come back next year.
No concern at all.
Location very close to Paddington Station
The hotel is extremely run down. To get to room you have to walk up narrow stairs, run down hallways and room is run down. A very poor hotel to stay in. I do not recommend it. I did not expect a luxury hotel due to price but not a run down hotel either.
Excellent value for a London hotel in easy reach of Paddington and hence Heathrow. Good basic standard of comfort.
Front desk might have been friendlier on greeting.
Location Value for money Friendly and helpful staff Choice of Breakfast Plenty of food outlets within walking distance
poor staff, facilities, no lift, washrooms
No lift and in need of an update, but what value for money in London, and a good breakfast included!
The bed The staff were ok! Breakfast ok Central location
Scruffy carpets VERY small double room - hate to see the single!!
Very friendly and helpful staff. Room warm and bedding clean and fresh. We were able to store our luggage on morning we arrived until room ready and again on the day we left whilst we went around London. It is within yards of Paddington station - bonus. We would stay here again.
Don't expect perfection it is a budget hotel. Our room decoration was very tired - but there is evidence of a refurbishment program and our sons room was in better condition than ours. However, it was clean and comfortable.
Facilities and cleanliness were acceptable. And the location was excellent, being close to Paddington station.
WiFi connection was poor. And the beds were uncomfortable.
Location , staff were friendly and helpful ,
Needed decorating, bed sheets need to be better , much cleaner , and to smell clean and fresher .
I'd stayed here before and really liked it thus my booking again. First time I was shown the very nice room (on the first floor) and treated as a valued customer. On this occasion third floor - pealing paint, tape on carpets where they're worn through, wallpaper coming off - bed sit quality is better!!
Location was perfect and the place was clean if a little shabby in terms of decor
The room was tiny but then for the price and location you can't grumble. Reception guy was suitably surly.
The bedding was spotless, the bed was comfortable and the room for a family of four was ample. The breakfast set you up for the day & the waitresses were efficient and very friendly & I also suggest buying fast track tickets for the London eye at reception , way cheaper than at the actual attraction.
There is no lift and a lot of stairs. The carpet really let the establishment down, if it was re-carpeted in the same carpet throughout I think the ratings would be higher.
there was a terrible sickeningly smell coming from the bathroom pipe. Very bad experience
Great location, have stayed before and would stay again if visiting the capital.
No lift or porter and I was on 4th floor!!
- location - breakfast
- very old building - poor matenance
Only the location of the hotel because it's very near the underground station.
The staff is not really helpful.. when I do my booking is already been told that no lift but the staff can help for carry the luggage. But I need to ask for it and only help me to carry upon the 1st floor not even my room.
the Bed was ok. The room has enough space with good wardrobe.
The breakfast was very poor. The wifi in the room was poor
we have stayed at the royal Norfolk several times and always enjoyed it, will definitely be staying there again
no lift or help with bags
