Everything was excellent
Music in the bar
The royal oak is the heart of betws y coed. The rooms are spacious and comfy. Breakfast is served downstairs in the grill-bar. A great place to stay
Location is great, not only in the centre of the lovely town of betws but also great central point to see snowdonia. Plenty of food options within the hotel itself and plenty of parking. Great, would stay again if i was in the area.
Location central, good car parking facilities, reception staff very friendly & helpful
Hard beds, hot room, duvet too thick except for winter Breakfast selection very limited and crockery and floor area not clean. Plates not cleared from table TV reception poor
thought the staff were excellent in every way. They couldent have done anymore to make our stay any better,
Room 213 was above kitchen and looked over untidy area rear of hotel which was active with skip lorries and deliveries all day.the kitchen extractor fan was not switched of through the night causing a poor nights sleep
Big clean comfy bed Lovely breakfast spread Good parking Excellent location
Room backed onto kitchen extraction fans which were noisy and smelly if we had the window open
Parking was limited because anyone was allowed to use the hotel car park.
Food bed good staff
We where really pleased to be upgraded free off charge. We have been coming to the Royal Oak for a few years now once or twice a year and that just encourages us to com back. Thank you.
Location in center of Betws
Over priced takes advantage of prime location, but very tired!!!!!
Restuarant was good. Most staff were excellent.
Not value for money. Not seeing the standard rooms so cannot compare size or fittings, etc, but presume the extra cost is for the view. Trees and a carpark was our view.
the main restaurant was closed from sunday to wednesday
staff excellent and very friendly, food at the stables bar excellent and good value for money and again staff were excellent nothing was too much trouble
The staff were excellent and the room was great value for money
THE STAFF AND GENERAL ATTITUDE IN THE PLACE WE WERE VERY COMFORTABLE
Location is magnificent - right in the middle of Betws and opposite the river and the park
Food in the Bistro was disappointing The hotel was completely unable to book me a taxi to a nearby school for an 8.00am start the following day - In the end the best they could do was point me at a bus service. the train service is once every 3 hrs - with no trains at convenient times for normal working days - advice do not visit without a car!
Friendly staff quality restaurants would defiantly stay again
Was over what I think was the kitchen was no smell but the room was uncomfortably hot
Great view from the window. Room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were very helpful at all times.
Only a few minor things! Bed was very high off the ground. Limited food choice in the grill and restaurant. Bathroom extractor fan didn't work and wasn't fixed when it we raised this with reception.
All of it, from start of stay to end of stay
nothing to complain about
The location was perfect. In easy reach for everything we had planned. The food in the bistro was very good and value for money.
Rooms could do with a little updating. This is not a complaint as the room was very nice but just a bit tired looking.
bathroom was large and shower powerful. Food was good and they are not small portions either. Royal Oak is an old building and has lots of character.
rooms very stuffy, could benefit from some form of air conditioning. Very long walk to our room 212 which was right at the back of the hotel. Didn't ask, but did not appear to have a lift
The meal in the Bistro
The meal in the bar.
The twin rooms location the bathroom was really nice
Beds were uncomfortable in room 233 need new beds & shower head not enough water flow
