Right by the pier and seafront with pubs and restuarants close by. Very nice swimming pool and nice bar in the hotel
The rooms are very basic and the wifi did not work in the room at all even though the hotel price benefits from wifi and the bed was very uncomfortable.
Great size family room, good breakfast to start your day Excellent location, nice pool for a dip, evening entertainment
No shower in our family room, Victorian decor Very small old lift
Localization, value for money, swimming pool, Jubilee bar parties
minor things that are not relevant on a holiday
clean efficient and friendly staff good value for money quiet
Had to collect hair dryer and iron from reception and pay deposit soft, coldish toast.
Great location. Swimming pool and hot tub amazing lovely to have there. Nice and clean. Clean towels and sheets.
Shower temperamental and run out of hot water.however can understand it's a big place And lots of people washing at same times!! Could be more modern.
Location was the only good thing
Stayed here with my girlfriend We are a young couple and it was horrible The staff were rude and had no time for us They only cared about the coach parties We felt so in welcome We got up to the room and it was a mess the bathroom / shower smelt vile !! I spoke to the man at reception to which he said I don't have time to come up to your room They have no care or consideration for anyone in this place It is very run down and to be honest DONT BE FOOLED by the pictures of the outside It's like staying in a old peoples home (no offence)
tiny room no air dated, dirty bedding shower room too small and cobwebs lift too small
The staff was very welcoming and friendly, they gave us a few very useful tips about the carnival. We were impressed by the "retro" décor unlike the chain hotels. The location is also brilliant: very close to the beach and the pier. The breakfast was very nice.
There was no shower in our room, only a bath with two separate taps; no air conditioning in our room. It was also very noisy on the Saturday night because of the party goes. It might have been due to the carnival though.
Walking into the Royal Pier Hotel was like taking a step back in time. It had such character and charm and we felt immediately at home, especially with such friendly staff. The location was perfect and the view amazing. Would stay again. Excellent value for money
The bed was a bit uncomfortable.
Comfy bed nice food nice staff
Location of this hotel couldn't have been more perfect
There was nothing we didn't like.
Awesome weekend! The staff were friendly and had a sense of humour which made a nice change. The locals were welcoming and we met an array of people from all different walks of life in the hotel bars (2 to choose from). Breakfast was average. Overall, a great place to stay!
The rooms could do with their décor updating sometime soon and desperately need air-con as room was stifling in the hot weather we had. But for what we paid it was fantastic value and we were only in our rooms to sleep after all!
The hotel and rooms were clean and functional. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is perfectly located on the sea front within a short stroll of all the town amenities. Indoor pool and hot tub were great all in all a great place to stay.
Couldnt find fault with it
No parking poor bed strict mealtimes lift
indoor pool was a bonus
Room needed updating and fan outside ran all night,
Excellent sea front location, friendly helpful staff, clean comfortable room and good breakfast.
Location to beach.
Lumpy mattress. Breakfast served too late, we had 8.30am meeting. Window hinges faulty Decor run down, needs updating.
the staff were very good
part of the wall paper in the bathroom was held up with tape. the bed sagged on one side. the hotel is for an older age group proved by the entertainment, and the full english breakfast was a joke and i would have been embarrassed to serve it.
Location if you want to be near pier etc.
Too many older people - two coach trips were there and we at 55 and 63 were the youngest. Breakfast was a set hour as was dinner so glad we only did B&B. Handy location for all part of island. Needs tlc - very outdated and in need of a refurb.
Great location and sea view room.
Ensuite shower was completely mouldy on tiles with rotting skirting boards, furniture very dated and shabby, mattress had definitely seen better days!
The location is fantastic, right next to the beach and the pier. Staff were helpful and friendly
Not the most modern or cleanliest hotel but more than satisfactory for one night
Good breakfast friendly staff
Rooms need a little tlc
No wiffi on the room.
Not a lot!
Only 4 channels on tiny very old tv, very uncomfortable bed, blankets instead of duvet, plastic sheet!!!! You have to pay to park, if there is wifi we weren't told about it and couldn't access it, breakfast rubbery, worst place I have ever stayed, so old fashioned and uncomfortable I will never consider staying here again. I paid a lot of money to get very little sleep and no relaxation. You couldn't pay me to go back!
