Proximity to venue (The Baths Hall)

Hotel was very tired, a tad smelly and very rowdy (lots of loud undesirable clientele both inside and out swearing and shouting.

Location

It was filthy, completely disgusting. Huge cobwebs everywhere, and dust an inch thick all over. Coffee cups full of mould and dirt.

Staff were very accommodating. Ample parking.

Nothing - would not recommend this hotel at all!

Reception area not obvious and area smelt of urine. We booked four rooms as attending an event at the Baths Hall, all the rooms were cold and there was no hot water. One of the hand basins did not have a pipe connected to the hot water tap. Breakfast was adequate but there was no sign to say it was served at 8am on a Saturday instead of the normal 7am during the week so guests were sat around waiting - there were no staff around to ask.

Warm comfortable rooms, clean and good beds, slept well.

Friendly staff, great value for money.

Location was convenient for work.

It took 18 attempts (plus 1 text and 2 calls to the bar number) to get through to the designated out of hours duty manager's number. This was from 11.15 to 11.50 to try and find out when the music from the bar would stop to allow sleep.

Great location for events at the Baths Hall. Friendly staff, clean room, comfortable bed, good prices

basic facilities, but in line with the price paid. Would have been nice to be able to find staff easier

Room was cold when we arrived ( we should have complained at the time, but we put on the wall heater and it was warmer by the time we had had a meal and a drink). Tile grouting around the shower needed a good scrub. I hate to see mould in a hotel bathroom.

Friendliness of staff,we had a problem with our room, no heating, changed room, no problem. Food was very good, service very good. Would recommend.

No negatives that I can think of

Whole place very drab and needs a complete update. Unable to control shower, it was either burning hot or cold. However the bed was very comfortable.

A very enjoyable night at this hotel food was good room clean. Well appointed but some corridor noise at night although not enough to cause much disturbance would definitely stop here again

Good eating in the stlye of Beefeater. Good television.

No real ale available. Noisy firedoors. Very expensive breakfast .£15 for full English is steep.

we loved the bar and friendly service down stairs.

on our 1st night the fire alarm went off at 2.20am we went down stairs, but did not see anyone, went back to bed but was to scared to sleep, asked the girl on reception next morning about it "oh that it happens alot "It did not do anything to make my next night sleep any better. not a happy visitor.

hotel was clean and comfortable good value for money

only one thing we didnt like was thatone side of thedouble bed was up against the wall, which meant that for one of us it wasdifficultto get in and out of the bed
