I was very impressed with the apartment and it suited my needs as my six sisters join me once a year to catch up on our news and lives. The apartment was an excellent choice and the standard double was very comfortable for two of my sisters. We all appreciated the kindness of your staff, they were always cherry and greeted us with a smile (you really do not find this in most hotels). The blue tone of the paint is just too dark - I appreciate the age of the building but a lighter blue would be more suited. May I also say that the stripe carpet is fine but the black step edge is sometimes not all too visible. |

Other than the professionalism/helpfulness of the staff, there is not much to recommend this hotel. The rooms are terrible, the internet was terrible, the restaurant is terrible. |

interesting place. the staff were very nice and tried to be helpful. but they were understaffed, with often there was only one person to deal with the arrivals/departures and questions of clients The first apartment we had was very bad, but after insistence we were moved to another much more comfortable apartment. Most of the apartments are split on two floors which is not very practical. Also the lift doesn't go to the floor so you need to drag bags up stairs. the apartments were recently renovated, but poor workmanship |

I didn't enjoy anything about the hotel. No parking. Rude night concierge. No soap, shampoo or shower gel in bathroom, when requested soap & shampoo told there was none, they'd been delivered to their other hotelBar closes to residents. |

The room- it was clean, modern and large. The bathroom was very impressive too. It faced out onto the road and there was nothing oon the windown except the thick curtains so I couldn't change in the room during the day without the curtains being drawn. |

Very basic and comfortable, clean all over, fresh smell, good food, good atmosphere, just the right size The bath is quite uncomfortsble for older people, nothing to hold on to, quite deep, hard to get in and out from. We are 60 year old. |

Great location and the staff were excellent - extremely polite and very helpful. It was my boyfriends birthday and the hotel gave us an upgrade to a junior suite which was a lovely room with a fabulously comfy bed. For room rate was good given we had an upgrade, however if we hadn't been given the upgrade I would have rated the value as fair as the standard rooms were quite ordinary in decor. Parking is expensive at £18, but parking anywhere in Brighton is reasonably expensive. Aircon wasn't working, but it didn't spoil our stay at all. |

The decor is very good - the situation in Brighton is very good and central to shops seafront and park I'm sorry to have to say this - but our stay was most uncomfortable because although the air conditioning was on in reception but all of the rooms were turned off to save money and all of the bed rooms were boiling hot and there was absolutly nothing we could do about - in the end they gave us all a reduction in price because of this. The information that we got was that the air con had been turned off for some time - our friends with a disabled daughter found it totally unbearable and it spoilt their stay. |

Comfortable bed, breakfast was filling and with plenty of choice, good location within walking distance of most places i.e. shops, seafront, station. Air conditioning was (still!) not working which meant we had to open the window at night and there was a lot of noise outside, wi-fi also not working. |

the staff were quite helpful when we encountered problems we changed rooms 3 times in 24 hours. the first room was just big enough to fit the bed in (our suitcase was unable to open fully) - it over looked the air conditioning system and smelt like sewar, particularly around the toilet. the second room had no shower and no air conditioning which meant we awoke at 7am in a room which, helpfully had a thermometer to inform us we had reached 30 degrees celsius. the last room was 'business class' but was what no more than i would expect in a standard room. despite the air condiotioning system not working in the hotel over the whole weekend no one was offered any sort of discount for what turned out to be an extremely uncomfortable weekends 'break'. we asked if there was a formal way to complain ... |

helpful staff When I booked I asked that there were not steps to the room as my father is on two walking sticks - and also for two rooms for couples. It was suggested that we had an apartment which was up lots of stairs or you went outside to the firedoor which had to be opened by a member of staff each time. Also there was not wardrobe and one room had bunk beds - clearly for a family and totally inappropriate. The staff relocated us but not without much upset to my father. Also the internet was down which meant I could not use my laptop. |

Clean and bed was comfortable, excellent location. Breakfast was adequate but service was poor. We were told we were "upgraded" to apartments. Facility had very poor lighting. No facilities to see to shave, put on make up, no air conditioning, no food available at the bar when we arrived in the evening and few bath amenities, poor shower. |

Location close to seafront and shops & restaurants in town. Helpful (Italian?) desk clerk who went out of his way to convert a power adapter to enable us to charge our phones and camera. Thanks again! The decor of the hotel is quite nice too, stylish breakfast room. The airconditioning system was not working. We were not told about this at check-in, and woke up hot and with a headache the first night. It made our stay very uncomfortable, sleeping in the muggy heat trapped room was a struggle. As a result we felt tired and irritable in the daytime, and it compromised our stay in Brighton. We were given an apology, some free cold water during the night and a sizeable discount by the hotel manager, so at least our complaint was taken seriously. At breakfast we were not impressed to see salt and pepper presented on small open dishes, which invite you to use your fingers to apply salt & pepper. We found this unhygienic, particulary at a time of a swine flu epidemic. Front desk is not good with directions. |
