Clean and we furnished with friendly staff
Superior room a bit small but it is an historic building, didn't have the canopy bed I expected
Needs updating and cleaned. The room was very dusty.
Fairly cheap and suffice for one night and the price
Bed and room quite small and hotel generally quite outdated/ old fashioned.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the wifi was free.
We had to move rooms after an evening out due to noisy residents who had been placed next to us in an almost empty hotel. I'm not sure how the hotel achieved its four stars. We arrived just after 2.30pm and asked if we could have some tea and sandwiches to be told the chef wasn't working that afternoon! I also expected bottled water in the room, and a good buffet breakfast. I got neither. The aircon didn't work, the bathroom had pink dead skin cells around the bath and the room had a coating of dust across all the surfaces. Don't think we would stay here again.
Friendly and helpful staff
Rooms were rather cramped and too warm; while the bathrooms were clean and well appointed, the shower and/or bath arrangements were not user-friendly for arthritis sufferers
We got upgraded for free to lovely suite, would recommend to friends
Breakfast - my soft boiled eggs were not cooked and some staff were not that friendly in the morning- but would still recommend the place
Had to be moved due to noisy air con unit in room. Staff helpful though. Noisy at night as alternative room located near reception.
Location, very helpful staff
Car park a bit on tight side.
This hotel gives great value for money, is very clean. Breakfast is great and staff are so friendly and helpful
Nothing to dislike
Location of hotel good Girls on reception really helpful Comfortable room
The breakfast was horrible. We came down at 9.40am on a Sunday, and there was lots of remnants of food left. I asked if I could have some poached eggs, and the guy working, said "the chef wasn't doing them today". The bits of melon left were v over ripe and not nice, and we had to keep asking for toast as we were given 3 triangles between 2 of us each time. We paid for a large double, which seemed to me a standard style room, and it overlooked the car park. My wi-fi was non existent, and clearly they need to put in range extenders to ensure the rooms have wi-fi. Basic stuff. £15 parking seemed a bit steep. I didn't feel like I had value for money at all.
room is small
Noisy aeroplanes overhead every 45 seconds. No lift Not very clean Quite a walk into town No way is it worth the full price We had 80% off and still felt it was pricey for the quality Priced purely on fact it was in Windsor
I booked a single room at the very last minute for £69, and they 'upgraded' me to a double. It was so tiny (sort of ex maid's room in the attic) that I'd've been a little sniffy if I wasn't travelling solo and paying such a modest amount. I was very happy with it for the price I paid though, and delighted to have a bath, which seems increasingly rare. Staff lovely (though the poor sods running the bar at 11pm were the same ones serving breakfast at 7). It was quiet and everyone was helpful, and I'd def go there again (at that price). And much better than a chain hotel. The best bit was the small child at breakfast, explaining to his family how a zombie with no teeth would slurp you to death, so I felt very warmly towards the other guests too ;-)
Breakfast was good. Locality to Winndsor Castle was good if you want to visit.
The fact they charge £15 per day to park there and they don't have enough parking bays for all guests. Room service and Lounge menu was very limited. Quite a rabbit warren with two flights of stairs with plenty of fire doors to get through to reach a room on the second floor.
Incredibly comfortable sheets, best sleep I'd had in ages, and the room was absolutely gorgeous.
Could hear the people in the other rooms as the walls were quite thin, but didn't disturb us too much, just a pointer but had a wonderful stay and would highly reccomend as the best place to stay in the area.
Hotel was well placed about a 15 minute walk to castle and town.Room was clean and well equipped.Staff were very friendly especially the bar man who let us into the garden to have a nightcap.Breakfast was also good again with a friendly service.
The car park has a code entry system and we didn't know the code and ended up blocking the narrow road leading to the car park.
Reception staff were brilliant. I didn't eat in the hotel or have a drink in the bar so I cant comment on that aspect.
Air con in room 9 is quite loud. If you have window open aircraft wake you at 6.00 am.
it was very close to the Long Walk and it was not to far from the Windsor Castle itself. Breakfast was also nice. i have no complaints.
Clean , classic, modern, comfortable, great breakfast
Room was cold as the heating did not function, even after maintenance had a look at the system.
Misguided..room alloted was above the hall where marriage was going on
close to centre
bedroom too small and as race day bar closed at 1.00 and bouncers on the door but no sign of trouble
location was great, and the staff were really helpful
dinner menu ,not enough vegetarian choices, my room number 4 very small and a bit claustrophobic.
Windsor is an ideal location to rest before a the long flight back to Australia. My wife and I have used the Royal Adelaide three times now as a convenient stop-over from which to take a taxi to the airport. The hotel has good access to Windsor for shopping and sight-seeing, and to the Royal Mile for exercise. Rooms are comfortable and the staff are obliging.
Probably not advisable if the visitor has physical disabilities. There are no lifts and there are quite a lot of stairs and relatively narrow passageways.
Very good value for the money, modern design/newly renovated bathrooms, comfortable beds, hotel staff are very accommodating.
Hallways are tough to navigate with heavy luggage (multiple stairs)
