Originally built for Queen Adelaide in the mid 1830s, The Royal Adelaide Hotel is an elegant Georgian building with a striking blue front, an impressive original exterior and large sash windows. The hotel has a great location opposite The Long Walk towards Windsor Castle and just a few minutes' walk from the shops, restaurants and galleries of Windsor and Eton. A stylish lounge and bar are on offer, as well as a brasserie serving freshly prepared cuisine using fine seasonal produce, and 2-course dinner menus. We liked the location. We liked the fact that it is a small friendly hotel which is a 15 minute walk to the town. It is beside the long walk and is located on a street with nice unusual architecture. We stayed in the small double room. We were aware of the size of the room beforehand but not of the bed which was only 4 ft. The bed was smaller than we thought. We expected the bed to be at least 4ft 6" as it is in our own boxroom at home. It was quite a squeeze! . If a smaller desk was put in the bedroom, a 4ft 6 " bed would then fit and that would be a big improvement. There is no need for such a big desk but a 4ft 6" bed at least is essential for a good nights sleep. We didnt mind the room being smal l. We think that the size of the bed should be mentioned and well as the size of the room in your description. I would recommend the hotel but not this room unless you get a smaller desk and a 4ft 6" bed at least . The skirting board need to be painted and the large lamp took up valuable space but didnt work! It was pricy enough for what was offered.

The room size had an amazing size even it was the small one, very nice, and the breakfast was very good, I really like the hotel despite some inconveniences and issues. It is not far but a 5-7 minute walk from the castle and the main street, although the walk is nice, and the hotel staff does not provides right information they ask my cad for a swipe, they said they would not take or blok any money, then I checked my balance and they have taken another room night cost, I call them and said oh sorry! in 2 days you will have back, two days later it was still not there, call again and they say oh sorry!! that can take up to 10 days!!! My money was back finally but it was lie after lie.

Location was excellent. The room was clean and adequate for my needs. The room was air conditioned which was very welcome as it was an unseasonably hot day. The menu in the restaurant offered good choice and it was cooked to perfection. The fixed price dinner as a resident guest were very resonable; I was still able to choose anything from the menu and the staff were very attentive. My room was up several flights of stairs and I think next time I would request a lower floor as negotiating stairs with a heavy bag was hard going. That said, if I'd asked, Im sure someone would have taken them up for me.

The Hotel was clean and comfortable. My only critisism was that there was a lot of different levels on the upper floors. It was nothing to walk along the passages and find that you had to go down 3/4 steps and then back up 3/4 steps. If you were a person with mobility problems I don't think you would have managed.

Was very clean, had a very good level of decor all the way through without any "tired zone". Reception was well maintained with, plenty of reading material and information well displayed Turn time for breakfast, waited for 25 minutes for two fried eggs, beans and mushrooms, and there were only four individuals in the restaurant. Price of meals and evening meal menu in the bar too expensive, with 60% of the items exceeding prices on Hilton Hotel menus

One of the best stays I have ever encountered. The staff left you wanting for nothing and were incredibly . Service was second to none, above some of the higher star rated hotels I have been to. Rooms are comfy and adequate for my needs. Not luxury but decent standard. I will stay here again and would recommend.

Very comfortable and clean. Saw few reviews after booking the hotel, thought it would not be good. However, it was better and I am satisfied with the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel. Will recommend friends to stay here. If there were any leisure facilities, it will have been great.

We really enjoyed the a la carte breakfast menu as opposed to the more common buffet type. The salmon with scrambled eggs was the perfect hangover cure! The room, although small (as advertised) was ideal. Everything was very clean and worked well. Luckily we pre paid for parking, which although a little tight, was ideal for the trip. The air con in the room switched itself off and wouldn't stay on for long. This was probably down to user error and it was only a little niggle.

Good location, value for price paid. Parking spaces were limited, breakfast was not up to standard, ordered cooked english breakfast with poached egg, only got egg white no yolk, rest of the breakfast was sub standard.

The staff were Frinedly and location excellent. I only had breakfast so can't comment on the main meals. Expensive at the bar, I only had a soft drink and one bottle and crisps. Not much change from ten pounds!! Not good. The room was very warm and with the air con on I couldn't sleep

Reliable quality for Best Western hotel. I have used Booking.com for years and it has always been good. You should take Customer Reviews with a pinch of salt however. Some customers expect Hilton standard at cheap hotels and this is unreasonable. You usually get what you pay for Old creaky floors.- Not surprising since it is an old hotel with characterr A/C control not allowed in room - had to telephone to reception desk for adjustments. Over-eager waiter at breakfast serving hot food half way through eating fresh fruit salad - maybe wanted to get off early(?)

Quiet and well situated for Castle Town and Great Park also easy to find. This was our third stay at the hotel, last time we stayed in a small double room which was very small, the double room we stayed in this time was much more comfortable. Be aware that the small double room, although a bit cheaper is a very small double room.

Extremely helpful, attentive,polite and efficient staff in all areas. Very clean and comfortable. Excellent food-well presented and efficiently served by very pleasant staff. My room was very small but had everything I needed. However , it had previously been occupied by a heavy smoker. I am asthmatic and the free radicals permeating the room throughout my stay aggravated my chest badly especially at night and if I had stayed more than 2 nights I would have had to change rooms. I suffered for several days after my return home and my clothes smelt of smoke for some time afterwards. Horrendous for me and for the staff who had to work in that unhealthy atmosphere daily.
