I purposely sought this hotel after our stay there the year before, the location is so good, right next to the pier.
Basic facilities, breakfast isn't great for the amount of money spent.
Breakfast was only average and the quantity of soap supplied for atwo night stay was inadequate.
Breakfast and location
Payment in advance Cash for all room service Substandard rooms Surly reception staff No wifi in rooms Rotting plaster on walls No parking Tv at floor level
A lovely room very happy with everything
The hotel did not have a car park
Three advantages: location, location and location.
No value for money.
Leaving the place
location and bed
rooms damp and smelly and cold at night
Food was ok and good value
We booked a superior room for the spa bath and balcony. The spa bath didn't work and was cracked and tape used to cover the cracks. The balcony was inaccessible as the doors were screwed closed. To top it off the shower didn't work either. So we paid extra for nothing.
Right in the centre of brighton.
Bathroom - bath panelling broken hanging off and taped up to cover cracks. Could get cold air into the room very hot AC didn't really go cold just cool air.
THE PLEASENT STAFF
No wifi in room. Wifi access in public areas so poor as to be unusable. Location unsuitable for visitor travelling by car.
The rooms were big and spacious and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was served with a wonderful sea view.
Decoration was well past its sell by date. The interior was old and tired. Scaffolding was outside the building, carpets were torn and stains all over the ceilings!! Bathroom was terribly dated, missing tiles, wholes in doors and sealant was missing!! No parking facilities at all however, did have a discount. Surrounding areas around the hotel made it feel very unsafe, therefore had to park and pay an extra £19 for the NCP car park. It was like Faulty Towers on a bad day!! Overall a very disappointing hotel, yet the building, had it been looked after was stunning!!
Staff struggled to be nice amid awful building and facilities
Giant crack across bath with large blobs of mastic as repair. Noisy vent fan outside window, overheated room with broken controls, tired - no exhausted decor, mouldy tile grout etc, etc
Only the location
Everything about this hotel. Poor staff communication, dirty rooms, awful food ect,ect
Excellent accommodation and central for pier. Etc.
Basement room no viewd
Great location. Staff are helpful and friendly.
In need of modernisation.
nothing to dislike
Water running down the walls on the inside of the stairwell Wall paper peeling of the walls in the rooms Window opening on to extract court yard with more rubbish in than a landfill site only one hand towel when there are two guests Just a shocking hotel!
location near to town center Views from the top floor room Cosy bedroom Breakfast great value for money
Parking difficult to find Bathroom spa bath not working Room key cards kept malfunctioning
The location was very good
Bed was the most uncomfortable bed have ever slept in come away with a bad back did complain but the girl spoke very poor English and dont think she understood and didn't seem bothered, dissapointed with room as had booked a Supirior double with Sea View..got the Sea View but nothing else was supplieror the TV was about 20 years old and standing on a tiny table so you oculd hardley see it when you were in bed, and olny had the basic 5 channells. also we were right next to the corridor doors that banged every time some one came in, which during the night went on till all hours.
service at bar good
facilities in bad condition with damp walls and leaking pipes. cleaning in rooms not all that good
Didn't get much sleep as neighbours smashed their room up and were interviewed and arrested by police. Very noisy in the hotel at night.
Value for money Location Friendly staff
Needs a refurb; decor rather tired
