central location, spacious room, reasonable breakfast delay in being able to access my room even though I arrived at 5:15, i.e. over 2 hours after possible check-in time |

Room and location were good. Breakfast was also excelent. Staff we're uninterested and not at all friendly. It doesn't cost much to say hello but this seemed beyond both the bar staff and the staff of the check in desk. The room also had damage to the wall, to the furniture and was not as clean as it could have been. |

not much we just like it's location to the shops. we don't like the staff, the rooms smell and are damp the bathrooms are small and not clean looking, the beds are hard and in need of replacing, the hotel is dark. the lift wasn't working very well and slow and at breakfast it was impossible to get the lift. the cleaning staff have to use the lifts as well with massive trollies to carry the bedding so blocks the lift again. the bar was expensive I'm sure it's gone up in price as we have stayed at this hotel a good few times this year, breakfast could be faster and order of how poeple cue up for it as well , as if you just want orange juice you have to cue to just get that when most people are cueing for cooked breakfast all they need is some structued method that would make it a lot better. |

Very close to amusement and shops, staff was gentle and helpful. The room has a good view on the city. Perhaps the breakfast is limited to few things. The side on the sea is being revamped, I hope thi will be a plus next summer |

The location is superb and staff were very helpful and friendly. I had booked ahead and managed to get a great deal ! When booking in was shown a double room but had booked 'twin' room, staff were only too happy to change our room and were very pleasant about it. The bathroom could have been better, the plastic side of bath was coming off and the water pressure pretty poor. The hotel must have been very grand in its day and it is a shame more money cannot be spent to upgrade to its former glory. We did have a lovely stay despite all this and I would recommend to a friend...but get them bathrooms tidied up! |

It was a very enjoyable stay and the breakfast was excellent, would stay again at the right price, also it was very near to all the restrants and shops, so it is a ideal place to stay. Not Enough milks given for the teas and coffees |

We didnt enjoy our stay, the room was like a sauna, the hotel was tatty full of back packers, the breakfast was poor and the dinning room was grubby. I think £95.00 was well over the top for what we got, we got to our room changed and got out as soon as we could, it was so hot we had to sleep on top of the bed. See above, I wouldnt recommend this hotel to any one. |

after reading the reviews i was concerned about staying at this hotel, however i found the staff friendly, the room was clean and not in poor state and staff were friendly and helpful. The renovations being made to hotel did not interfere with our stay. The size of the breakfast room was small we ended up sharing a table with another guest need to go for breakfast early. |

The staff were very friendly and did their utmost to make sure we had an enjoyable stay. The breakfast, though a bit manic was of a good quality, and again the staff made sure it wnt as smoothly as possible. We were placed in a room which had a view of the kitchen which wasn't pleasent and the decor of the room was a bit dated. we did however get a jacuzzi bath which we did not request for. |

There was nothing at all to like about this hotel. The hotel itself stank of damp, the room we had was filthy and there was a nightclub undernieth that played wall-shudderingly loud music till 2am. see above. Everything |

I did not enjoy my stay at all, the room was unclean, the decoration was "tired and unkempt", the windows would not open so lack of ventilation in a room which smelled of cigarettes. Would not use again or recommend the hotel. |
