On the seafront in the heart of Brighton's 'Lanes', this friendly hotel has a pool, gym and free Wi-Fi. It is well located for nightlife, restaurants and the beach.
Score from 2927 reviews Good
Overlooking the seafront, The Thistle Brighton is just a quarter mile from the Brighton Pier and the Royal Pavilion. It features free Wi-Fi throughout, a restaurant with sea views, a pool and a spa.
Score from 1293 reviews Very good

Great check in. Room was excellent and breakfast great. Highly recommended.
Wi-Fi not very fast.
Hotel staff were wonderful , rooms were very clean.
Wifi download speed awful , unable to watch sport on sky picture kept freezing
Very little to recommend
Possibly worst hotel I have stayed at for long time
Lack of parking. Not very modern.
Well my bathroom got flooded by sum body upstairs, so at change room then had shower that kept me awake all night dripping so no not happy with my stay sorry
Everything was water damaged. Furniture outdated and falling apart. Marathon was on that weekend and it was the 2nd most expensive hotel in brighton.
Price Old hotel Early check out 10.00 am
That I took part in the Brighton Half Marathon and had a good view of the sea.
The staff and parking and got a parking fine which I paif
The hotel was badly maintained and appeared run down. As an example one of the metal rods holding the shower curtain rail to the ceiling had rusted away. The carpet was thin and threadbare (although thicker than the towels) and the entire place seemed grubby and unclean (including the glass I received in the bar which had sticky patches on the rim).
Manager was aggressive and rude. Extremely unprofessional. Simply couldn't care less either about his customers, or clearly the reputation of the hotel. Very distressing.
The entrance looks good, I think it has just been redecorated. The towels and bedlinen were clean.
The furniture was old and badly chipped. It all looked so old and shabby. The bath had a taped up split down the side. It must have been the oldest TV in town. No service for breakfast -no sign of a waiter - food well past its best eating time. . We had a 'superior' room with a view - goodness knows what the others were!!
Room warm and clean with lots of hot water and a sea view, Quiet and peaceful.
Abrupt unfriendly staff Price too high for quality of accommodation. Food dry and generally poor quality.
The location was very good, opposite the pier and close to the local clubs and bars. The jacuzi bath tub was a real treat. The staff we approachable and nice.
The room could have been cleaner, there was no view, just a view of a wall. There was peeling wall paper and the bed was a bit hard.
Perfect location and excellent value for money. Clean, comfy bed and huge bath.
Shower head fell off wall. Lift very slow and couldn't get down stairs because blocked off for repairs.
The food,the room,the view,the shower.
Bed to hard, bathroom in bad order, stained ceiling extract fan hanging from ceiling and not working. Bathroom needed makeover.
Location is excellent
Antiquated furnishings. No pressure in shower. Undergoing repairs at time of stay but could have made those areas a bit more customer friendly. At times seemed like a YHA.
nice rooms with sea views
Location Rooms Freedom to come n go.
Located directly opposite Brighton Pier. Clean and comfortable bedroom and bathroom. The bar and reception rooms were great.
The only drawback was the fire door in the hallway. Some of the guests tended to slam the doors during the early hours.
Good view. Excellent breakfast.
Room was too stuffy. Air conditioning was not enough to keep us cool.
Quick and easy check in/out
They have a smoking flloor, didn't know it was still allowed and customers should be advised of this when checking in. They didn't and had no alternatives!
It's in a brilliant position for exploring the whole town and only 20 mins walk from the train station
Some areas a little tatty and in need of tlc. There were notices to say it was due to storm damage but some were just general wear and tear
Hot tap could not be switched off in bsthroom
Our room was poor. The sheets were stained when we first arrived and the decor very dated. The windows were very thin and we were kept up all night buly the night life outside.
