Score from 1131 reviews Very good
Single room was comfortable and roomy
No continental breakfast option
Hotel interior quite old and could do with upgrading. Could be cleaner as well.
Everything Dirty Smelly Very very basic Boiling water in the shower, highly dangerous The distance from check in to room ridiculous - upstairs, downstairs and long corridors
Damp and crumbling walls
Windows do not oped.damp smell in the room, bed like army issue, poor nights sleep. TV .did not. Work, kettle not working. Very poor value foe money. Would not recommend.
Dingy old fashioned terrible noise from night club outside. Was moved rooms to one with dirty sheets. Third world hotel
I liked the big room and jacuzzi.
I didn't like that we paid for a sea view room and didn't get one!
The location was great, right on the seafront.
Smokey smell in the room and corridors. Damp in areas due to flooding. Needs a lot of building work to make it more comfortable. Wifi only on ground floor.
The facade was appealing, the location was reasonable, the staff were pleasant.
The room was small, the bed was a small, lumpy, old, uncomfortable double bed, and you bumped your head on the wall when getting out of bed.
Accessibility for luggage and WiFi
Wrong room initially, alternative - (133) roomy, fabulous views through Filthy windows. Lighting awful, Paint peeling several lightbulbs out, intrusive noise from corridor, telly horrible, basic channels unavailble, remote unusable because of tiny labelling. I could go on. Orientering qualifications required to get about
I liked location as very good for the shops and the pier . Good location for the lanes and for the restaurants and bars.
I did not like The filthy carpet all over in places, unvacumed carpet under the beds, dirty walls, the mould growing on the wall, the dirty bathroom tiles. The noise from upstairs and the banging of doors at all hours. The attitude of the staff. The toast from the buffet breakfast which was dry and already cut up put under a heater.
The hotel was in very poor condition, and very run down. They are obviously catering for bus loads of people, consequently service was not pleasant, and the breakfast was disagreeable.
A very good position on the sea front and close to the coach station.
Very poor welcome at the reception desk after a long journey. The room was in the very bottom of the building - it was damp and smelly. The window did not open to let in any air and there was no view at all apart from a crumbling old wall. The breakfast was poor and not very exciting. The whole package was certainly not worth what I paid for it.
the rest of it.
if you don't smoke and want a quiet night you need to tell them or you get put on the first two floors which is where they put the party crowds. Old hotel very run down - over priced. We saw the breakfast menu which made us roar with laughter - just don't bother!
It's right by the sea front and the staff are great.
The restaurant is really too hot to eat in comfortably.
Location Building Staff
Carpets, décor, bathroom, broken windows and firedoors, harsh lighting etc etc
Quite, Come and go with no fuss Good Breakfast Good Location
No Wi-Fi in rooms Lift a bit small Heating in room did not work Old style television only basic Channels
very old fashion , very friendly staff, nice and close to the beach, and pier
the warm gunniess lol
Location was perfect, great for a short weekend going out etc. breakfast was good, staff were friendly...Was all we needed for a night out and somewhere to sleep. Was able to sleep undisturbed
Was expensive for one night, however, booked short notice..no WiFi or phone signal, tv was old and remote didn't work. If looking to stay more than two nights, would probably look for somewhere less basic
Great position, near the beach and the city center. Bus and taxi are just around the corner as well. 15 mins walking from the train station. The twin room for 2 is really big and comfortable. Kind staff.
The room wasn't perfectly cleaned and we've got just 2 towel (small and big, 1 person set) where we were 2 people). I expected a better service for that price, but nothing to be really disappointed. The room has a window on an internal air conduct which make a light noise during the night, nothing dramatic if you haven't a super light sleep.
Could not open window in room making the room very stuffy, room although clean was tired, bath room again clean but with cracked tiles and silicon every where could do with some updating.
Good central location
Air con didn't work. TV remote didn't work. Room to Hot room 319 was above the kitchen so when I opened the window and came back later my room smelt of boiled veg! Gaffa tape sealing a crack on the bath. Carpet filthy and old. I think that's enough
Everything. Grubby and grotty, and worse than a cheap B&B.
