Location and view over the sea.
Staff attitude and lack of staff in reception. interior decor 1970's bathrooms excessive long corridors food was very average single glazing in the restaurant
Oscar had a wonderful time. Everyone was so welcoming.
Spa ,hotel ,location , was very good very enjoyable
wifi in room
bad smell of scambled eggs that were off, dirty finger prints on door glass, and smell of beer
Friendly staff. Oscars restaurant excellent. Room clean and hotel temperature warm.
Bed in room 259 was small double. Have never had to pay to use pool and gym before. Only people not staying in hotel could have special offer in Oscars.
The staff, from the moment we arrived made us feel so very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Our room had a sea view and balcony, watching the sunset with this lovely view was very special.the dining room with large windows was surrounded by the beautiful garden. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking to stay in Bornemouth
Bornemouth itself felt a little run down. However I have nothing negative to say about the hotel itself
Facilities were excellent, great hospitality and fantastic, helpful staff
Location, Grandeur, Hospitality, Didnt need to park my car it was done for me.
We liked the location and hotel looks impressive
furniture is rather dated!
The pool and gym Lounge bar sea views
Check in time was longer than expected, Couldn't open window or turn temp down
Bed was too soft.
Good location cheaper parking next door
Room was looking tired and dated and didn't live up to eat of hotel. Spa was additional price too
I was a bit concerned by negative reviews prior to my stay; however, it turned out to be a decent hotel, in an excellent location, with s decently appointed room.
Watch out for the check-out time of 10am, even at weekends; and just park in the car-park beside it - £12.50 for 24 hours was very reasonable, I thought.
Room very basic and noisy
Was easy staff were friendly and the bed was huge
Our room didn't have a hair dryer but that's me being really picky
The staff were so friendly
Facilities were jaded and faded.the bar shut too early( 11pm)
Rooms , decor , food and service all jaded.
Room large but furnishings so shabby bathroom leaked water everywhere. Floorboards so creaky could hear them all night. Breakfast - quality of food very poor. We paid £139 for our room for 1 night I have stayed at better Premier Inns for comfort & food for £29!!! Staff in breakfast room surly and not at all welcoming. Furniture stained & very shabby. Beautiful building but needs extensive refurb now understand why you pay when you arrive instead of when you check out!! Room & bathroom very grubby - windows dirty and condensation cloudy. Room so hot & no way of adjusting temperature. £20 to park. Total waste of money.
Location Spa Food
Bar prices Disorganised breakfast restaurant the first morning Greedy guests clearing the buffet
We enjoyed our stay
But did not like the breakfast it was not to the standard you would expect from very poor
Breakfast, Bed was really comfy. Good for the money tbf. Quiet at night aswell... Had a perfect room location. Staff were very nice indeed.
Shower pressure was terrible and it didn't stay up correctly. Bath was tiny.
The room we were allocated was far superior than we expected. It was clean.
The dining room service was too laid back. The waiting staff needed to be asked to serve drinks at breakfast!
The Hotel was aware that we had a dog.The room was dog friendly with access to a green area for the exercising of the dog.
The access to the Hotel when you arrive by car is not good. When we arrived there were 3 cars at the entrance so we had to park in the car park a distance away and then walk with our luggage. At reception we were asked if we had a big car. When we said yes they had only parking available for small cars.
Poor food and staff. Furniture needs replacing. Stale bread on lunchtime sandwiches. We will not stay here again. Shame as this hotel was always so nice.
