Bed was too soft.
Room very basic and noisy
Was easy staff were friendly and the bed was huge
Our room didn't have a hair dryer but that's me being really picky
The staff were so friendly
Facilities were jaded and faded.the bar shut too early( 11pm)
Rooms , decor , food and service all jaded.
Room large but furnishings so shabby bathroom leaked water everywhere. Floorboards so creaky could hear them all night. Breakfast - quality of food very poor. We paid £139 for our room for 1 night I have stayed at better Premier Inns for comfort & food for £29!!! Staff in breakfast room surly and not at all welcoming. Furniture stained & very shabby. Beautiful building but needs extensive refurb now understand why you pay when you arrive instead of when you check out!! Room & bathroom very grubby - windows dirty and condensation cloudy. Room so hot & no way of adjusting temperature. £20 to park. Total waste of money.
Location Spa Food
Bar prices Disorganised breakfast restaurant the first morning Greedy guests clearing the buffet
We enjoyed our stay
But did not like the breakfast it was not to the standard you would expect from very poor
Breakfast, Bed was really comfy. Good for the money tbf. Quiet at night aswell... Had a perfect room location. Staff were very nice indeed.
Shower pressure was terrible and it didn't stay up correctly. Bath was tiny.
The room we were allocated was far superior than we expected. It was clean.
The dining room service was too laid back. The waiting staff needed to be asked to serve drinks at breakfast!
The Hotel was aware that we had a dog.The room was dog friendly with access to a green area for the exercising of the dog.
The access to the Hotel when you arrive by car is not good. When we arrived there were 3 cars at the entrance so we had to park in the car park a distance away and then walk with our luggage. At reception we were asked if we had a big car. When we said yes they had only parking available for small cars.
Poor food and staff. Furniture needs replacing. Stale bread on lunchtime sandwiches. We will not stay here again. Shame as this hotel was always so nice.
Excellent cooked breakfast Tea & coffee making facilities Quiet Portering staff helpful
Reception staff unhelpful Door lock kept jamming Radiator in room not working
£20 charge for valet parking not shown on booking information. Breakfast buffet was pooR - food cold and stewed Earl Grey Tea. 2 Gin & Tonics £18.40
Clean comfortable hotel in an excellent position close to the shops and buses. Friendly helpful staff. Large room with comfortable bed
Room door key mechanism did not operate very well but reception were very helpful in sorting it out.
Large room Location Classic decor ( needs some work) Gym and wet area
Room to hot no temp controls Unable to open windows No fridge in room No safe in room
It was an elegant hotel, warm and comfortable. We had a great room for a good price. The staff were very good. breakfast was lovely. If you are seeing a show at the BIC as we did, this is a good place to stay
I have nothing negative to say
Evening meal in Oscars was ok.
Bed not comfortable Breakfast quality poor Excessive cost of wine in the bar Cost of car park
Great Location for BIC Pleasant Staff
The bed springs have collapsed on oneside by about 8cm so we were on different levels got back late from venue needed to sleep. Dated rooms but hence pricing
Staff were very helpful room was very spacious and warm good value would stay again
Thought there was free parking only to be told it was £20 breakfast was of a very good choice could have been hotter these are minor details
Clean, nice bedrooms
Suggested online that parking and leisure centre access were included but they were not. Very irritating to find out when you arrive and to be told you can't cancel your booking even though you are not happy it was as advertised. the parking in particular is very expensive.
Location mainly. Our room had a sea view which was a bonus
Breakfast was a bit average
I love the swimming pool always have i also rate the welcome at reception very high in fact all the staff the lady who cleaned my room was excellent
Staff were great apart from reception which were abrupt and not very helpful
Whole place needed a lick of paint, was very worn and needed a fresh look. Felt like an old age home in some areas.
