An excellent breakfast, with a beautiful view of the sun rise over the sea.
Excellent location. unspoilt coastline with only light traffic passing. Hotel is extremely comfortable, excellent staff and very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and very comfortable. breakfasts very good within a very spacious dining room. you can sit where you like.
The room was very comfortable and clean, with a good selection of tea and coffee. The choice at breakfast was excellent and all the staff we dealt with we're very professional.
We arrived late and there were no car parking spaces left however we parked on a nearby road so it wasn't really an issue.
Good breakfast helpful reception staff.availability of chilled water on each floot
Location, room, breakfast
Ia m a business traveller and if you don't mind a single bed, value is fantastic
We were given a room with a view and had asked for one with easy access which we were given. Easy wifi connection and Facilities within room were great. There was rain and a gale blowing when we arrived so the heavy drapes within the room helped make us feel cosy and comfortable. Uniformed staff were pleasant and helpful.
Lack of parking spaces for long distance guests who arrive tired (quietly grumpy) and then would have to find somewhere to park! I took the last space blocking in 4 vehicles and felt obliged to be up and ready from 7.30 in case I had to move it!
The staff couldnt be more helpful with our problems.Breakfast excellent
The parking was terrible. We arrived late due to a ferry crossing.A car had to be moved in order to get myself and another customer parked.cars had to be moved in the morning to let customers out.On street parking -what on street parking it is residential and no spaces were available. Building site opposite with the pier.Derelict buildings knocked down to the right of the building. Not our idea of a sea view!!
Lift and car park
Lunch portions too big for old people
Good location Great variety of breakfast Sea view Quite room
There was parking but busy and difficult parking ie tight space. Wifi hit and miss
Excellent service, lovely breakfast, very freindly staff.
The bedroom was a very good size and we had a nice view of the sea. We only had breakfast in the hotel but the service and quality of the food was excellent.
It would be difficult to find a fault with our stay.
It's not often when you book somewhere that the room is as large as it is in the picture but this place genuinely is. Rooms really nicely presented with beautiful view
Nothing loved it all
The hotel was located in a lovely position overlooking the Southsea Pier. The room was quiet and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The building is very charming and the dining room overlooked the sea which was lovely
The lifts are too small so it was very busy in the morning trying to get into the lift and down to breakfast.
Room a little tired but Ok
the room was beautifully set out with towels folded on the bed as a flower with free condiments of shower cap beauty box with cotton buds nail file etc also just incase you forgot your tooth brush and paste you can get one from room service the staff were friendly and nothing was to much trouble tea and coffee good channels on the tv free wifi also and free water machine on every floor it has 4 floors and there is a lift my room even though it was a single room didn't cost me any more it was cheaper to stay here than a b and b and my view was the beach fantastic it was bon fire night and some locals had a fire on the beach and beautiful fireworks display from my window, it is very central and close to the shopping centre including the designer outlet if you don't want to drive the buses are across the road some are cheaper than others but it cost £3.40 return to get to the central high street shops. the hotel has free parking at the back although small. its a very elegant old hotel but everything is modern and well kempt....great
room was extremely spacious and airy. Bathroom was a little old but well equipped. Lovely finishing touches. The staff on reception were very friendly and helpful as were the breakfast staff. Breakfast was excellent, good choice and quality .
Large, comfortable room with a sea view.
Car park was too small and difficult to manouvre, only able to park on first night. Breakfast was disappointing, over cooked fried eggs, no scrambled. Poor quality bacon and sausage. Overpriced.
Location. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Pleasant staff.
Single room and bathroom were small. Looks a bit tired inside.
The size of the room and the sea view
Location is just a bit too far from the main Portsmouth attractions
Spacious and functional rooms.
Room, Cleanliness, Sleep, Bar Food, Staff.
Parking was really difficult. The Hotel Parking was in overflow at the back and front. BUT there was street parking by the boating lake (a fair plod up the road with luggage). Practical solution......Have a couple of Airport/Station Trolleys handy to get kit to and from cars parked some way away.
The character and spacious nature of the dining room and bar area.
Whilst the quality of the food was excellent, I think a few vegetables, or a small salad should be offered with the main dinner course. ( ie fillet steak and a few chips!)
location, cleanliness & size of room.view of sea. excellent breakfast.
bar service could have been a little better
Size of the bedrooms was very good
Bar and food prices very expensive
