The Bedroom was comfortable and clean and tidy with tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast was excellent and so was the service. The bathroom was a disappointment, it was very dated and not what I expected from a Best Western hotel. We chose this hotel because of the reputation of the chain but the bathroom did not live up to expectation.

My wife and I liked the friendliness of the staff. The hotel was comfortable, the rooms were clean with good quality furnishings, the restaurants had excellent service with good menus.and versatile between tne bar and the dining room. There was a good choice of wines. The seafront site of the hotel was excellent. My wife and I consider it to be very good value for money We enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming again.

We liked the location as we had a lovely walk along the promenade all the way to Old Portsmouth. We had a tasty and large portion of fish and chips (with mushy peas) from the bar menu. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a double bed and could have done with a king size (there was space for one). We were woken up early by other guests leaving their rooms - how about quiet self closing doors in hotels. Could not close the bathroom window completely.

The hotel staff were attentive and without prompting confirmed that they had arranged a quiet room for us as requested on the internet. The Hotel was a 20 minute walk along the sea front to the Hover terminal and we took a 10 minute hop to the Isle of Wight using the island bus service that gave a snapshot of the island. Gun wharf Quays was just a 5 minute taxi ride away for an excellent shopping experience and an abundance of restaurants to satisfy every pallet.

A good Bestern Hotel situated in a prime location, we had an excellent room with a Sea View, onsuite and very spacious, The food was very good we had an English Breakfast one day and a Continental breakfast the other morning. We dined in the restaurant for dinner on the first Evening, and enjoyed the meal and wine, that we decided to Dine in the hotel on our second evening instead of going out. The hotel was very busy with a Wedding on The Saturday and a Wedding festival on the sunday but this did not get in our way or spoill our stay in any way Overall a very good visit

The breakfast was very good. There was no space for parking even though it was advertised as having parking and that was the main reason we booked the hotel, we had to park about 15minutes away, Also the double room was small and not really suitable for 2 people.

The Staff at reception and during breakfast were very friendly and attentive. Thank you. On my previous visit I booked through my company and received a sea View room. This time I booked directly and received a small room at the back of the building which was literally half the size and the Mattress was So bad that I woke up with a very bad back. This will be my last visit to this hotel. Secondly, a week after the visit I received a Parking ticket for £120, for parking in the Hotel's car park. Which has been revoked upon contacting the hotel, but it's still an inconvenience to chase up.

It was just a very pleasant hotel with helpful staff and an excellent breakfast. On the 1st night we were there the club/disco was very noisy and we were at the back of the hotel. Parking was chaotic the 2nd night.

The food was nice, the room was clean and the bed was confortable. The Hotel was run down, it was a shame cause you could see about 20 years ago it would of been in its prime, but it has not been updated and looks a bit sorry for its self, even basic things like the information sheets in the room looked like they had not been changed for a long time, things like paper work are not expensive and make a better impression. The staff did not seem very happy and were very blunt, I requested information on the ferry to the Isle of White and the receptionist said she could not help as she did not know.
