The atmsphere in the hotel was excellent, staff were attantive and reasonably efficient. Restaurant meals, I thought were excellent value and staff again were very efficient. I do a lot of business in Russia and some ex. Soviet Union Countries, and stayed at the hotel with a business partner from St. Petersburg. For some unknown reason the internet system you have in place at the Hotel blocks all contact with websites ending in ....@mail.ru ????? Having stayed in 5 hotels across the country in the last 2 weeks, I was at a loss to understand why you have this policy in place !! We could not even access a Google Translate website ?? This policy meant neither of us could access our e-mails or in fact our business files in St. Petersburg !! much to our annoyance. Reception staff could not help or advise. Because of this I will not be able to stay in future as I cannot conduct business while in the hotel |

We went to a show, it was convenient for the theatre, there was good food when we wanted it and the staff were pleasant and helpful. The hotel was reasonably comfortable, but the decor is best desribed as retro. See above. |

Room service was prompt and friendly. The restaurant at breakfast was more like a canteen than an expensive hotel. Breakfast choice limited, for the money charged would have expected to be waited on and given more choice such as kippers, boiled eggs, or full english. Full english available along with limited cold buffet. Not impressive. |

Old fashioned grandeur in an accessible situation. Not many of the staff smiled. We had to change rooms. |

It was a good location for me, hotel was clean and food was good. Reception staff were helpful and friendly. I would stay there again. The mattress on the bed was very hard, difficult to get a comfortable sleep. |

polite staff, excellent service, not too busy. No parking spaces available all were full and no chance of obtaining one as the cars tended to be parked up for the weekend stay. The hotel should consider paying your parking fees when having to park outside the hotel using the pay and display meters. |

Very relaxing and comfortable. The staff were all very polite and helpful. Would certainly return to this hotel if in the area. Room 209 was a bit small and gave a feeling of claustrophobia. Everything else was fine. |

I found the location helpful to the conference we attended as well as being close to the station. I would chose to come again even with my family as I thought the area would be a great place to visit. |

Reception service was good. The hotel was a bit "tired" and the shower for example was poor. No wifi in the room, only in reception. |

The location is an attraction in addition to the architecture which is reminiscent of turn of the century seaside resorts Having paid a supplement for single occupation of a fornt-facing double room it was disappointing to find myself allocated a compact, tired room. Bathroom fixtures & fittings were adequate and bed was reasonably comfortable. Breakfast was diabolical! A large coach party of elderly people were staying and they filled the restaurant. The selection of food was poor, overcooked and unattractive. I could not cut the black pudding! Staff were clearly over-stretched and it was almost impossible to get someone at the compact buffet to replenish empty food dishes or to get serving spoons. I went for a proper breakfast that I could eat at a nearby establishment on Marine Parade. No point in complaining at the time. My advice......avoid this hotel. |

The location was excellent and very near to my party venue and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I was given a room next to the elevator and was unable to sleep once the early risers were heading down to breakfast. |
