The staff were friendly and the hotel was in a great situation - close to everything we wanted.
The shower temperature was very inconsistent, reported it a couple of times but was told that other people were probably running the water at the same time??? Not good when you want a shower 'Now'.
Good hotel great architecture but with modern facilities including a nice little gym. Food menu a bit 1970s but well cooked and tasty
Don't stop in or near room 204 as you will be woken at 6:00am when the industrial fans for the kitchen are turned on. What a racket!!!
Noise and drunks outside.
I like the room an the view was excellent an the staff was very polite and helpful I could not ask for better service although I wanted more pillows but I did not ask for more .
the only thing I did not like was dust was on the Ceilin and wall paper
Excellent staff and welcome
We did find empty biscuit wrapper in the room when we arrived
Breakfast and location
TV in the room no DVD player and is small
Friendly and courteous staff location
our room without a view noise from kitchen fans or such disturbed peace in room Hotel could do with re-decorating
Good staff, very clean hotel. Great food and good value for money. Good pool, gym and steam rooms. Very peaceful break and a great nights sleep. We will return again.
Minor point that our room on third floor looked a little tired.
Hotel Very Dated, Decorations Shabby, Carpets Worn, Fixtures and fitting in Room worn & Dated, Sound Proofing none existent, Very expensive for its condition it requires a full refurbishment.
Pool and spa facilities food good
Room a bit small and basic
This was a really pleasant Hotel. Booked a standard double room for my daughter and me & was given a double with a single. It was front-facing, although I didn't book one and had lovely views of Southport promenade. The room was light and had clean modern bedding, lots of storage space and had a clean, spacious bathroom. There was a medium sized flat screen TV in the double and and a small flat screen TV in the single, too. We used the pool twice on our one night stay and found it to be very nice. Overall, a good value stay which we thoroughly enjoyed.
Room service was hard to get through to, they got the order slightly wrong and dished up quite sub standard ham sandwiches for the price.
The steam room, Pool, sauna and Jacuzzi.
The hotel was in an excellent location, for what we wanted. It was clean, comfy and was what we needed for 2 nights in Southport.
room service slow and wrong orders everytime.
Great facilities, friendly staff and great location
An excellent hotel with very good facilities! You couldn't go wrong with this hotel! Would definitely come back and book again.
Enjoyed using the pool and facilities whilst stopping over. The staff went that little further by extending my car parking a few hours longer so it didn't inconvenience me by having to get back from a show. I would definitely stay again.
The staff were very helpful.
Everything, we had a family room and it was really good. Perfect for a family break, lots to do and hotel facilities excellent. Good food aswell.
bit cramped in dining room for breakfast
staff really friendly food good room was very good would stay again
Great position for shopping and flower show. Nice view from bedroom and lovely breakfast, staff were really great too
Location to Southport Show Helpful staff on reception Clean modern room Substantial breakfast
For the second year running despite asking for a quiet room I was disappointed by again listening until the early hours to the 'bass boom' of a disco somewhere close by. No double glazing. On top of this, guests in the next room clearly had never heard of respect for fellow guests, playing music loudly, banging doors when they came in at 1am and being 'loud' until 4.30am.
The room situation, superb views. The staff. Pleasant, polite and friendly. Good breakfast foods and great variety. A hotel of enormous charm, but has the feeling of genteel tiredness. However we would go back again.
Extremely hard bed mattresses. Just warmish water for washing etc. Rattling sash windows when the wind blew.
The staff are very friendly and efficient. We both enjoyed the food, especially in the evening. Ideally located for the flower show and Lord Street shopping and eating. My companion has some disability and uses a mobility scooter - no problems encountered.
A little dated in parts but I will go back to this hotel. It's age fits Southport. Not really a negative.
Location was good for the Flower Show, bath & shower.
Could not open windows fully, hot and stuffy room, managed to get a fan for our second night. Price of room increased over the period of the flower show, bit naughty as the service & facility was no better/different.
