With a modern recreation center and 2 traditional restaurants, Scarisbrick Hotel also features a cocktail lounge and real ale bar. The hotel is in Southport center, just off of Lord Street Boulevards....

1. Enjoyed the ambience of this fine old building, brought up to modern standard. 2. Stayed for 1 night. Had breakfast, dinner and lunch at the hotel; in each case, food excellent and staff in abundance and attentive. 3. Room good size, comfortable, clean, and well appointed. 4. Room was at the front of the hotel, overlooking pier and (distant) Irish Sea. View excellent. Quiet at night, though rear of hotel overlooks nightclubs, so noise might be a problem there.
1. Water pressure in Room 348 low on the day, useless for a shower. Informed reception, who apologised and said this would be looked into. Worth checking when booking. 2. Although there is an overflow carpark at the rear, the main parking area is at the front; this gets congested from mid-afternoon onwards.
Good staff, excellent fish and chips in the bar.
Very, very noisy, went to bed at 10.30 and never got to sleep due to the amount of noise both inside and outside the hotel. I had requested a quiet room. At 2am we gave up trying to get to sleep as it was still noisy. We left, told reception who promised the day manager woul phone but he/she didn't. We drove two hours to get home as this was better than staying in this hotel. Also every floorboard in the hotel creaks like a ghost house.
Clean rooms and hotel was generally clean
Bar staff were a bit clueless Hotel in need of updating
spa fantastic room great overall great
View from room Location Prices Friendly staff Food
The room was amazing, even included a 'dressing room' type extra room, two tv's, the room had everything we would need, was more of a suite! Breakfast although busy was plentiful and enjoyable. A lovely night in lovely surroundings. Will definitely be back, hopefully for longer next time!
Love the veiw from the promande rooms good size rooms .conservatory bar nice and relaxing spa good best hotel in southport
Bed to hard
the hotel was very clean and nicely decorated. staff were very friendly and helpfull. my husband and myself stayed on a room only stay but next time we will stay for longer and also have meals there.the only reason we did not do it this time was that my husband finished a night shift the day we booked in and it was a birthday treat, meal was booked elsewhere prior to booking hotel.next time its hotel food!!
the only problem which was slight was because we were very warm in our room and the windows didn't open.otherwise recomend to all!!!
Friendly staff.very good food. Clean tidy. Super location for all ameanaties. All within walking distance. Would return. Great value for money.
Convenience of hotel parking without being charged. Will consider this hotel for the Flower Show next year if there are any deals available for 2 nights.
The very expensive price of drinks in the reception/events bar.
This hotel is in a fantastic position overlooking the marina and lovely gardens,it is also close to all the shops bars and other restaurants so is the ideal location for all. The staff are attentive and very friendly and the service was excellent.
Not a thing.
The room was small but warm. Bed was comfy and breakfast was good.
The room was very dated and the loo leaked so when I got up in the night to use the bathroom I was paddling.Despite mentioning this when I checked out there was no apology or offer of recompense.
Everything was good enjoyed our stay
The bed was to hard
Large airy room with view . Excellent front desk sorted our reservation problem . Swimming pool and Spa made our stay enjoyable .
The rooms in the attic area (SUPERIER ROOMS) not what we expected
food, pool & location.
Lounge bar not open.
Room, meals, location, lounge
Public toilets were poor
Nice room, good view, we didn't have the breakfast as there is a Wetherspoons 50 yds away doing much cheaper ones with endless free coffee refills. Dinner was nice and hot but not a very imaginative menu.
Hotel was dead after 8 p.m. the only bar open was deserted. Wine in the dining room was only available by the bottle which at £14 for house wine was a bit of a rip-off.
Location and available free parking. Pool and spa. Ambiance of building. Would stop again if room guaranteed a view of sky outside at least.
Our room looked onto a wall with extractor fan outside. Worst room we have had in 45 years of hotels. Glad it was only one night. Really not worth money. Sub standard location in hotel.
buffet breakfast, the room
the heating was on too high.
Emma on reception was great. A real professional and calm manner with excellent customer service skills
When we arrived in our room we discovered it had not been serviced after the previous guests. The bins were full, the sheets and towels were used and the bottles of water were empty. There was also a half eaten bowl of fruit on the fable. We had to mess about waiting in the bar while it was sorted. To be fair we got some free drinks but ultimately we missed our table at the restaurant we had booked up the road so the trip was ruined. Ended up getting a pizza from a local takeaway and sitting next to the marina. The breakfast was overcooked poor quality ingredients which were basically inedible. The whole trip was basically ruined so we won't be staying there again or recommending it to anyone. This hotel is obviously trading on past glory. I have written to Mellors to complain as I would like a refund.
The professional and friendly attitude of the staff The location The size of the room Value for money
The pillows on bed a bit -hard/ not very comfortable
friendly staff, location, view from my room, size of room was excellent
hotel is a very old Victorian building and some parts were a little tatty my door to my room had a very large gap at the bottom big enough to put my hand under at one side of the door
Noisy delivery at 5 am which woke me. Rattling windows in the wind.
The room size was spacious and we had lovely sea and garden views out of the large bay window. Flat screen TV in the room and tea and coffee making facilities. The new Bistro was very nice and the food very good. We did not use the leisure facilities as we only stayed one night but we went to look at them and were very impressed. Staff were polite and helpful.
It was a little cool in the room and we could not get the electric heater on. The bed was a little to hard for us. We would still stay here again regardless as everything else was great.
décor was a bit old/tired -noisey on backrooms at late into and early morning , couldn't sleep due to nightclub opposite
