There is nothing I liked about this hotel - at all. I didn't like: 1. The fact that on check-in the receptionist did not understand basic English (in England!). 2. The fact that I asked for a high room so 'it would be quieter' and although we were on the second floor, we were put in a room overlooking the main road at the front. Not at all quiet. 3. The towel rail was on - why? Its the middle of summer. It was on and the bathroom was boiling and the heat a come through to the bedroom - not good at all. Surely the housemaid should have noticed. 4. The towel rail adjuster was broken so I could not turn it off. I called reception to be told that there was not maintainence man in at the weekend? When I went to reception I had the same language barrier problem - not good! When I stated that it needed to be turned off while we were out I was spoken to by and abrupt, rude and aggressive man saying, it depends what the problem was. 5. Breakfast was awful - I left most of it. Please send a refund! |

Walking along the river. Bars and restaurants. The breakfast and service on Friday morning was lovely...Saturday morning though the buffet breakfast and service was awful. |

Absolutely nothing. Thankfully our stay was only one night, our first room had the roller blind on the floor, and the carpet was filthy. Our second room although bigger overlooked the town centre and the constant noise of the traffic and rowdy gangs of youths outside during the night. The final straw was taking breakfast in an Indian restaurant, with the smell of curry lingering from the night before. |

it is in the centre of reading, exactly behind Oracle shopping centre. there is no lift in the hotel, so if you have a baby you have to carry him and the pushchair too. |

Reception staff were very helpful. The first bedroom that I was allocated was totally unacceptable and I requested another. This was a lot better. |

Yes. Television did not provide a teletext service. Regular intermittent noise from a generator or other hotel equipment. |

Just behind 'The Oracle' shopping centre. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was tiny. There were sweets on the floor. Internet was another £8 on top of an already expensive room price. Internet was wired and would only reach to the desk, however as the room was so small there was no chair at the desk! Window was broken. |

value for money relative to other 3 star hotel in the heart of the town. Spacious than others with in-room ironing facility and good TV reception and wider choice Furnishing is rather old, my bathroom door knob came off when i tried to close the door, windows could not be opened to ventilate the room. Also no outside food allowed, means I cannot bring in take away to enjoy the comfort and privacy of my room when i dont fancy the hotel food after working late at night. No a good policy, after all this is not a 4-star or 5-star hotel. |

Well situated, hassle free Cars were double parked all around me (hotel staff cars apparently) and it took me 20 minutes til I could get out of my parking space. No social area in Hotel, one has to go to the indian restaurant attached. Sweet wrappers on the floor under the desk in my room on arrival. |
