The staff were professional and friendly and the quality of the food in the restaurant was good. Some of the bedroom decoration was 'jaded' and the shower was either scalding or cold - nothing inbetween. While the restaurant food was excellent, the service, although pleasant, was incredibly slow with both starters and main courses taking well over half an hour each to arrive.

The location was perfect and the car parking although not on site and I did have to pay but it was good value. It was good value and a nice room The room was very warm due to its location and would have benefited from air conditionibng or a large room fan. The windows did not open due to the road location.

Very central loation but with the great advantage of free parking. Very quiet and comfortable, too. Everything was fine although breakfast could have been a little more adventurous.

The hotel staff was friendly, and there wasnt any hassle with checkin. The bed was generally comfortable and was generally well furnished The water can be quite cold some time or not as hot as it should be

The room was too small and not as advertised. My booking could not be found on the system by the receptionist so she rebooked us but then I was charged twice for the room so the booking was clearly there and I still havent received my refund over a week later! I have no confidence in the receptionist.

Brilliant location, near the Oracle centre and restaurants, the town centre and the Thames path. Room comfy and very good for the price We were left unattended at breakfast and weren't sure what to do, or whether to go to a table or not - but it is a minor gripe.

The staff were very courteous and helpful. I had to move from my booked room due to a maintenance issue [singke roo] I was upgraded to a double literally across the corridor from my old room, thereby minimising my carrying my luggage any distance. I will definitely stay here again.

I choose to stay at the Quality Hotel because I've been there before and I know what I am getting for the price. On this occasion I got there to find I had to go "next door" to the George Hotel as the Quality Hotel is closed for refurbishment. I dislike the George Hotel with a passion so was unimpressed. The George was miserable as usual. Eating in the Dickens restaurant was terrible. It takes a special talent to take good wholesome ingredients like sirloin steak, tomato, rocket etc and to make it utterly tasteless!!

I had stayed at the Quality Inn before for a similar break. I had no hesitation in re-booking for a Sat - Sun stay and I was not disappointed. I used the hotel as a base for a trip to watch London Irish and then did shopping on Sunday with a local friend. I was given an upgrade to a double room on arrival which was a pleasant surprise and the hotel suited my needs perfectly. Courteous, helpful staff, a comfortable room with a good shower and a hearty breakfast. I would recommend the hotel without hesitation. DA
