the staff are excellent and always helpful. Free parking in th ecity centre is a definite bonus and resaon why we come back.

Some rooms can be very hot and the smell of the Indian restaurant a bit overpowering in some areas.

Breakfast was ok

Smelt of Indian food, had low bulkheads which you hit your head on, felt like a prison with a second layer of glass. Generally poor however for a place to crash after a night out ok.

Town Centre location, good value for money

We have stayed at this hotel before and the included breakfast was always cooked fresh, but they have now started a buffet only system which is a shame.

Everything upstairs was dirty and worn out. The carpets were old and grimy. The room was awful with a dirty roller blind and carpet and all badly in need of decoration.

The friendly staff, it was spotlessly clean and comfortable excellent breakfast and service.

Excellent location with free parking right in the town centre but in a quiet back street. Good choice at breakfast, with freshly cooked food rather than a buffet for the cooked breakfast. Overall good value for a one night stay but perhaps not ideal for longer.

The hotel is above an Indian restaurant, where breakfast is taken. There is quite a strong curry smell in the general areas of the hotel but this was not present in the bedroom. The facilites in the room were a little tired but were clean and fully funtioning.

Room was awful. Breakfast was awful.

Very comfortable large and clean room, breakfast very good, close to all amenities including river. Will come again.

Do not like curry but my husband artner does. Would have preferred other options. Unfortunately the railway station was being rebuilt which made the hotel difficult to find and Oracle closed on Easter Sunday but we will come again most definitely.

Close to the canal

Excellent staff. Able to sort out an issue with one of the rooms. Reception served us drinks until we went to bed at 4am!

Some of the rooms really need attention. While they were very clean, some had faulty radiators and VERY bad damp/mould which is very bad for health. That said, when we reported it, we were moved to another room immediately. Would suggest to hotel to evaluate rooms immediately.

Six of us stayed at the quality hotel and I must say the facilities were excellent staff friendly and although the room was small it was very cosy and comfy breakfast was very good with a wide choice Would recommend this hotel to anyone

Bit loud through the night - other customers making noise right through to about 3am. Also quite noisy radiators..

The room faclities were more than adequate for my needs & comfortable. Eventhough I was above the resturant it was not noisey. Staff very helpful and a free car park at the rear. Location very central.

The indian resturant below my room did make the room smell a little, though not to intrusive.

The staff were a credit to the hotel - very friendly, courteous & professional in their dealings. Nothing seemed too much trouble. The rooms were basic, but clean & comfortable. Breakfast was exceptional. Unbeatable value for money!!! The location of the hotel for Reading centre is ideal. Thank you to all the staff & mangement at the hotel..

The heating was on full blast in the bedroom & couldn't be turned down as there was no thermostat at either end.... but not too much of a complaint - it was freezing outside!!

Everything smells of curry. The hotel "restaurant" for breakfast etc is also a curry house.
