Best western Derwent Manor

Es war nicht das gebuchte Zimmer verfügbar, deshalb mußten wir nach einem Tag umziehen, wurde aber alles prompt und sehr nett erledigt.Zimmer sehr groß und die Bar auch recht nett.

Peacful Countryside location. Plenty of parking space and spacoius rooms.Good variation of food choice in restaurant or bar with range of reasonable prices.

Some re furbishment of rooms needed. TV antiquated

Location, reasonable value for money, excellent dinner in the restaurant in the evening, quiet, easy parking, local for our needs.Pleasant staff, reasonably priced wine.

Variable prices. Bar meals were more quantity than quality. Swimming pool was closed, our bath was out of order, the heated towel rail did not work.Wasn't too keen on room number106

The friendliness of the staff and the location of the hotel with superb views over the valley.Three weddings in one day did not intrude on our enjoyment

Whilst creating an atmosphere of old world proportions the decor is dated and a little too dark for comfort

Friendliness of staff, size and comfort of room, breakfast was superb. The location is good and it is ideal for a wedding.

The water which is sourced from a local spring has been declared unfit by environmental health. Whilst the hotel has made bottled water available in every room and states that additional water is readily available from reception It has to be said that the 2 small bottles left in the room were not sufficient and I found it inconvenient to visit reception at 3 am and then again in the morning for additional water. It's a temporary problem and it will be resolved in time but a more substantial supply of water shpould be made readily available in each room.

Magnificent size room with twin king/queen size beds,plus first class breakfast fascillities. Bar meals very good. Did not have occasion to sample main dining room in evening unfortunately

My only positive suggestion (made at the time) would be to have some good guest ales available in the bar.

My wife and I often stay at Derwent Manor as it is a convenient halfway point on our frequent travel between East Anglia and Aberdeenshire. The food and service are excellent and the occasional special offers provide exceptional good value. I particularly enjoy the breakfasts.

They are having problems with their water supply, making it necessary to use bottled water for tea/coffee in the rooms. This is taking a long time to be remedied.

it was a last minute booking which I did not expect much from as the price was very low so I was delighted tofind we had a large room, there was a pool and bar meals were very reasonable

too many steps and very warm

Attached pub serves good food at reasonable prices - particularly the early bird offer.

Slow service at breakfast and spa bath in room that didn't work.

The hotel was excellent. The rooms were very well equipped, and had excell facilities. The outlook from the rooms was over rolling coutryside, and was so peaceful at night.

Nothing major, although one of the meals we had one night was not up to the standard of the others which spoiled the meal somewhat.

Great value for money and the staff were very helpful. A great place to get away from it all but just a short journey from Durham and Newcastle if you prefer being in the city.

Room decoration was a bit worn out and could do new wall paper and a coat of paint but still comfortable

We had a lovely room--very clean spacious and comfortable.The breakfast was excellent and the service was quick.The staff came over as very polite,friendly and helpful.
