Everything was lovely, the staff especially and made us feel really welcome
There are no dislikes.
Couldn't have a shower the next morning. Had been warned hot water takes a while to get through. But we had no water at all!
The gentleman who greeted us was helpful.
The room was very scruffy , dated and in need of a coat of paint .No hot water in the tap in the morning so unable to shower .
very pleasant staff good on street parking or 5mins walk from train station
Good night's sleep and breakfast
Everything, the shower was dirty full of hairs had soap in from the previous guest.the room was absolutely freezing one towel between two people would of been charged for another £1 for extra tea and coffee.two people came for breakfast at 9.33 3 minutes late thay where told thay where late and breakfast had finished.all in all would never stay hear again and wouldent recommend to any one else
Cheap hotel close to sea front.
Small room. Tiny shower. Adequate for price paid but would sooner pay more and have something better
The location that's all.
Everything the room was tiny very cold old fashioned. My friends stayed opposite this hotel for the same price but the hotel was far more elegant!! Won't be returning.
After booking this hotel I read the reviews. I started to think I had made a wrong booking. On arrival we were made very welcome we were shown to our room. The room was very spacious and clean, could it be more modern and up dated then I would say yes. The breakfast was very nice and served hot, at a clean, well presented laid out table.
My only recommendation would be to remove the bathroom carpet, this would be more hygienic and easy to clean.
The staff and the food were lovely.
The rooms were quite dark and they smelt of smoke which can be off putting.
Liked the fact how close we were to shops and attractions etc.
location great ... breakfast good ... owner very pleasant
bedroom needs updating wardrobe & drawers seen better days ... bit of a tight squeeze in en-suite
If you're coming to see the sights of blackpool this is a great location. It was quiet on the road it's on so good night sleep but close enough to get amongst the hustle and bustle! Bed was comfy, clean room and shower, topped off with lovey full English breakfast in the morning! Would stop again.
Clean, comfortable enough,
No complimentary coffee, required to pay for it; dictats listed in the rules. Not a very good shower.
Good value for money
Lots of rules!
Just simple off the train and two mins walk to the hotel, very pleasant and helpful home from home, its a YES for me.
Made to feel welcome, excellent nights sleep due to the quiet location, excellent choice for breakfast, can't fault our stay.
Breakfast service was fantastic
Bathroom good do with a refresh
Stayed here for a single Saturday night. This was an inexpensive hotel and included breakfast. I met two staff member , sorry don't remember the names but both were most helpful and informative. The single room was of a reasonable size, not large but perfectly comfortable as was the en-suite. The bedding sheets were crispy white, towels were fresh, soap was supplied as was a kettle, tea/coffee. I had a window but just a view into a yard. The bedroom door had a good quality and secure lock. The front door of the hotel had a number lock, so no security issues. Decor was clean and pretty fresh, though of course this is a Blackpool central B & B so not modern. It all worked fine. Bed was comfortable and no noisy guests keeping you awake, even though the hotel was full. There is no parking for visitors, the car park next to the rail station just round the corner is expensive. If you go north from the hotel, unrestricted street parking is available with no cost, is a 10min walk back, which is what I used. Breakfast was one of the best I have had in Blackpool hotel. If you want Blackpool central area rather than the pleasure beach, this is in an excellent location, with great value for money.
The room was dated. The bathroom was tight. The t.v from the 80's as is the hotel.
Everything the breakfast was fantastic
No connection as was on top floor.
The whole experience was a complete disappointment. The overall experience was poor from the lack of shower facilities ie no soap or towels provided [this was a blessing as we could not face using a shower in such a dirty condition] to the condition of the bedroom furniture which was not skip worthy, but ideal for bonfire night. The tv was 20 years old approx and was held onto the stand with duck tape. Added to this the curtains were much to be desired as they would not close and were hanging off the rail with suspicious stains on them. After all the above we did not dare risk a breakfast.
Booked 2 single rooms for me & my friend. Good size for a single room. Own en-suite which was a big positive. Typical Blackpool Guest House decor. Room clean with freeview tv. Bedding & towels smelt lovely of fabric conditioner. Bed comfy. Breakfast fabulous! Staff helpful, polite and very welcoming.
The area of the holiday flat was ideal being 5 mins away from the train station and a short walk from the promenade! The breakfast included was very nice and good to start a long enjoyable day out in Blackpool! We stayed in the smoking room which is a great and practical idea!
The shower goes from super hot to cold. But for a short stay isn't too much of a problem!
