Opened on Queen Victoria's coronation day in June 1838, the Royal Bath Hotel was the first hotel in Bournemouth. It offers 3 hotel restaurants, a health spa and lovely sea views.
Score from 1900 reviews Good
Overlooking the pretty Lower Pleasure Gardens from a quiet cul-de-sac, Lampeter Hotel is a leisurely walk from the popular seafront and town centre.
Score from 592 reviews Very good
In a quiet part of East Cliff, this clean, friendly hotel is just a short stroll from Bournemouth's beaches and town centre. It has spacious rooms, a restaurant, a vibrant bar and free parking.
Score from 1406 reviews Very good
With its seafront setting, the Park Central Hotel offers the perfect location for both business and leisure travellers.
Score from 866 reviews Fabulous
Attentive but not intrusive staff. Clean, comfortable, perfect base for a break.
Staff were exceptionally friendly especially reception and the restaurant Absolutely no complaints
Sandwithes on bar lunch menu were tasty but a bit basic in presentation. Not a problem but room for improvement.
Being close to BIC and amazing breakfast.
Creaky floorboards !
Pleasing staff well decorated for Christmas
Fire alarm went off 3 times in the night no apologies. No phone call to say all was ok . As a single room occupier being female my room was as far away as possible from any other room very scary being on my own . Eggs at breakfast over cooked
The location as was central friendly staff lovely food
At £140 a night I was disappointed that the room was right next to the cocktail bar and had a live band till 1 in the morning meaning no sleep then drunken noisy people coming up and down the fire escape till 3,hotel toilets run down and easy to get lost in the maze of corridors
Lovely hotel situated in heart of Bournemouth with sea views. Ideal place for a weekend away.
Would liked to have stayed longer, but then that's our problem!!
Restaurant and vegetarian options
slightly soulless single room but not bad.
Staff are friendly, rooms are a good size along with bathroom, room was clean. Entertainment good.
Bars pricey and resturant pricey for a 3 star.. £6 for some peanuts! Food wasnt amazing in main resturant for the price. Room was clean and tidy but in need of a revamp..bathroom tatty, needs re grouting, shower pole rusty...beds very hard, hotel very noisey as music in bar and close to nightclubs etc..this wouldnt have been so much of an issue if the windows fitted and actualy closed or had secondry glazing..rms are also very hot..guttering outside window blocked so if it rains u have a very noisey waterfall!!
The hotel was in an excellent position to explore Bournemouth. However we didnot leave the hotel. The food was excellent, the staff were friendly and accommodating and the cocktail bar with live music was fantastic. The room was clean and tidy and very comfortable. My only critism was that the general decor could do with a little attention. But overall it was a fantastic stay.
Location, excellent value for money, Breakfast
No sweetners in room, no shelf in shower area.
Nice size rooms
Heating was very noisy
Excellent location for the BIC. Good food in 1812 restaurant. I had enquired about a fridge in my room to store my medicines and they had kindly put a fridge in my room for my requirements.
Poor room lighting in evening light. I was warned there was a function on with music on one of the days during my stay. Unfortunately my room was above the function so I got a lot of bass noise after 23.00.
location is excellent for the BIC and just a short walk away from some nice places to eat
noisy in early hours because Bar So had music events until 3am one morning and 1am on another
Location for B I C.
Staff were rude & arrogant. At breakfast the a Waiter gave out sauce by the tea spoon full. A small thing l know , but I thought penny pinching.
Not far from town.
Checking In and out very poor. The rooms are very dated the bathroom is so 1970s.
Nice big rooms, nice modern decor in public areas, with more traditional decor in rooms, comfy bed, location can't be better for BIC, Beach and town centre.
Noise from the two popular bars, although we were adequately warned at time of booking and on arrival. Worst thing was wanting to have a quiet drink in reception after a show at the BIC, and staff on reception did not offer to get us drinks, just left us to our own devices.
The hotel was clean, comfortable and the staff very friendly. The breakfast was lovely. We were seeing a show at the BIC and the hotel is so convenient for this venue and within walking distance to the seafront and town. Would definitely stay again.
fantastic central location; good selection of bars and seating; restaurant staff and food excellent; reasonable room/bathroom facilities and thorough/efficient cleaning staff.
Noise after midnight from the bars - our room directly above one bar. Also, the fire alarm went off temporarily at about 2am on both nights of our stay. Inability to turn radiator off in the room meaning uncomfortably hot early morning.
position is good and easy access to shops and bars
Room was tacky with bodged up paint repairs all over the walls, the shower came out like a dribble and the breakfast was poor.
helpful.clean. good facillities. good position
car park terrible access.
the location ideal for shows at the b.i.c.
We only stayed the one night mainly for a show in the BIC which was just over the road. The staff on reception were very polite, friendly and helpful. The same with the staff at breakfast which was excellent. This Hotel is also central for walks on the beach or a visit into the town.
The room we were allocated was a family room and the television was very small and on the far side of the room and was not easy to see
The bar and restaurant staff and areas were excellent. Food was a good standard. Very pleasant experience
Rooms are dated. Bathroom quality could be improved.
The location staff were all very helpful food was good I will go again soon I felt of being on my on a map
