Staff were friendly Restaurant and cocktail bar was really nice Excellent location

Leisure facilities were poor. It was loud at night due to the music in the bar.

Food was excellent. Right in the centre of town.

The lady on reception (eve of 16th april)was fantastic and so welcoming and really made me feel at home as a lone female on business. Room service amazing.

Well worth staying in this historic Tregonwell house, if you can secure a deal. Bargain single room was not above the bar, despite warning in publicity! Sizeable, comfortable single room and healthy breakfast, I.E. smoked haddock & fresh fruit available.

The noise! Our room was right above the 1812 bar, we were warned that the room would be noisy on check in. However we did not expect it to be as noisy as it was, there was a live band which played until the early hours of the morning. There were people out on the bar terrace until about 1.30 in the morning shouting, despite us being told the terrace closed at 11. We got absolutely no sleep and this completely let down what would have been a nice stay. The hotel needs to decide if it wants to be a night club or a hotel!

Was across the road from BIC. Close to beach and shops. Good night life in hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice.

Our room was very hot and floor boards seemed squeaky throughout the hotel, although this couldn't be helped as very old building.

Room was good,room was kept very clean and tidy by domestic staff.

Were not told we had to book for a meal and when we went to the restaurant we were told "bad luck nothing I can do" and basically told to go away.We did eat in the restaurant the following night but it is nothing special small portions and fish under cooked.Following that we cancelled our next booking.

Hotel has a bar which becomes a night club in the evening therefore very loud and no where to sit and enjoy a drink and chat.bouncers on door on return at 10.30pm!

Been upgraded on our arrival Spotless in All areas Excellent food which was well presented very obliging staff

The window in our room rattled every time there was a gust of wind. Which we sorted by wedging the window. (the windows were sash style)

Proximity to the town and the BIC

Lighting in the room was poor. The shower was not adjustable and not suitable for my wife, who is short.

The location was fantastic for the BIC as well as the town. The hotel room was very comfortable and spacious. No complkaints at all

Breakfast was excellent

Horrendously noisy two clubs & bars underneath if you want to sleep don't go to this hotel.
