Excellent value for money on Sunday night rates. Great location. Friendly check in staff.
Conceniently located over the quiet and beautifull central park, very close to the Promenade. Stilish nightlife. Great ambience. Very good english breakfast. Helpfull staff. Free parking.
The staff were attentive and changed my room because they advised me it would be very noisy at night as they have a popular bar and a disco which does not finish until 2.00 a.m.
I am a good sleeper but if you were not the noise from the music was quite loud. Always a bit disconcerting when I returned to the hotel as it was difficult to access the front door because of the number of people overflowing from the bar into the street
Staff Table service Location
no fridge in room
always clean breakfast very good flat, level location secure car parking
only stayed one night
The room was excellent
No bitter served at the bar.
The location between 1812 and Bar So is excellent. Free parking. Toiletries were good quality, shampoo, shower gel, no conditioner though.
Very squeaky floorboards in our room, very noisy guests, woken by cleaning staff knocking on rooms near ours. £130 for a room for 3, reasonable, did not include breakfast, bottled water in the room, 1 pack of 2 biscuits.
Great location, big room, nice breakfast
Breakfast was very good
Curse of the Booking.com reservation had the room furthest away from reception and probably the lumpiest bed I've tried to sleep on in years, sure when you book in what seems to be a very nice hotel they keep such rooms for this type of booking. Cabaret night went on until fairly late think when booking you should be warned these are on, both nights I stayed. Although Thursday night the very loud music stopped around 11-15 I had to be up very early next morning, so perhaps I was only one it inconvenienced.
Great location as we were visiting the BIC. Had a good meal in the resturant and enjoyed the bar.
Had a rather bad nights sleep, as there was a very bad storm that night with high winds, consequently the sash windows rattled badly even though we tried to wedge them. This of course is not really the fault of the hotel!
To heavy quilt room very hot. To fancy food and to expense on the evening menu.
Very comfortable room , staff were very competant.
there are a few hard to see small stepped areas between main hotel and bar areas.
My friend and I were taking part in the Bournemouth Marathon and decided to treat ourselves to a more upmarket hotel than last year. Staff were excellent on arrival, as there had been a slight mix up with our booking, and we were accomodated in very comfortable adjacent rooms.
Quite noisy, live music in the bar, but it was Saturday night after all.
Honesty of advertising and staff about noise levels from two bars, which in reality we didn't hear from our room at all.
Nightmare exit from car park with little room for passing cars.
Extremely friendly and very helpful staff. Very welcoming at reception. Free parrking. Great cocktail bar with live band. Clean room. Far less noisier than we expected - by the time we left the dance floor everyone was going home. We are an older couple who enjoyed a great night after having completed the 10k run.
Staff friendly and helpful, good free parking, snacks available. Room good size and clean. Was not affected by any noise possibly because it was a Sunday night.
Rather dark dated decor
Location ,went 2 EW&FIRE concert @ BIC ,, right on the doorstep :) Vert helpful staff , clean comfy hotel , , ( chambermaids do an amazing job) , food good ,, plus fantastic restaurant next door " The Crab" got 2 be tried ,, Will certainly go back 2 the Exeter again ,,
The room floor was on a bit of a slope ,, bed moved & coffee slid towards edge of bedside table !! It got sorted when mentioned 2 staff ,,
staff, food, cleanliness, car parking and location .
expensive price of drinks in 1812 bar
We liked that it had two different places to Go and have a drInk. It was In a good location as we went to the bic In the evening To a concert and not to far from the beach.
Although we know that the hotel turned into a club in thE evening the bass was really loud and still going at 3 In the morning. Also we had One of your staff members knock on our door at9 to see if we were still in the room.
The facilities at the hotel in having 2 bars and a good restaurant are great. The room was a good size. Staff are friendly and helpful. Large car park.
Being a light sleeper the road noise and that from the clubs kept be awake, but in the hotel's defense they did warn us of the noise at check in. Room was a little tired.
the 1812 bar and bar so are two quality bars and the breakfast was fantastic selection of wide range of cerials and yogurts, fresh fruit, and the full English was a very big helping..
lower level rooms suffer from noise from the bars so not good if you need a early night
Service. Food friendlyness
Location was good - an easy walk to the beach front. Breakfast was also good.
Very poor greeting when we arrived before the official check-in time. Desk staff looked at us like we were crazy for turning up before 3pm. We asked if we could store our bags, but there is no secure facility, they are just left by the reception desk. Secure luggage storage is essential for any hotel. They need to decide whether they want to be a hotel or a night club. Warning guests that the night club gets noisy on Friday and Saturday nights doesn't make it OK.
Nice quality hotel, good food and on site parking. Could be rated a 4* and was excellent value for money.
