Close to the Albert Hall where we were attending a concert at the Proms. Enjoyed tourist sights nearby and ease of tube station just along from the hotel. Great shops too. Many thanks for your excellent service.
I've already stayed at this hotel before. The location is good, Kensington High Street is very central and full of shops. The hotel is more like an american styled hotel than one of those european ambients.
The staff at this hotel is very, but very poorly trained. Besides that, you don't find too many british born staff members that understand that a guest is there to be served. They have an attitude and this is not acceptable. In my case, there was no sweat, I know how to draw limits to people. However, I saw many clients getting a not so great treatment.
paying for internet
The service was excellent as were the thoughtful touches to celebrate our birthdays. We enjoyed the lovely afternoon tea and opted for the tea ceremony which was interesting and beautifully done. The upgrade to a garden room was much appreciated.
The air vent in the room was noisy at night which was difficult for a light sleeper.Pehaps a room lower down would be less noisy.
We had a lovely room - more spacious than most in London. Afternoon tea was wonderful
Suite layout and very comfortable bed Complimentary chocolates Room service was virtually instant ! Fresh milk is provided with compliments Conceirge service and reception staff were excellent
Small amount of tea bags on tray however ordered room service most of the time.
Great location and very helpful staff. Breakfast was excellent.
No free wifi
Quality of facilities, staff and location
Very expensive WiFi charges - out of step with a good hotel
Really liked the way the staff, all staff, treated you as a person and not just a number!
Outside noise penetration even on the 7th floor, but it is central London.
The room and cleanliness
The hotel is great, the only draw back is the fact that wifi does not come free with the room. Most hotels now a days give free wifi
- The hotel is close to the hop-on hop off bus station which is convenient to tourists like us. - Kensington park gives a beautiful view. - The concierges are nice and helpful to us as they know London best and give us very good advices. we even can buy a ticket to some tourist attractions with their help. - Despite the fact that I've complained few times about the electronic key to my room, the help desk is patient and kind. - The restaurants are good, especially I like to have breakfast at the hotel and the Chinese restaurant nice with great scenery.
The electronic key didn't work well. I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights and I have been locked out of my room for 4 times at night when I got back from my tour around London.
Quiet on the garden , good quality for the breakfast and very good service at restaurant
Size of the room and bed
- The staff
- The wifi access in the room is not free (!)... unlike in many other hotels. It is particulary disapointing when you concider the price you have to pay for a night in this hotel! - The lack of personality of the room: very functional, almost no decoration (e.g. flowers, ...) - The location next to ambassies (the Palestinian / Israelian demonstrations took place just in front of the hotel and we were recommanded not to come back t the hotel between 1 P.M. and 7 P.M.).
Noise, No Free wireless, very small rooms , old ...
All the facilities were first class, the location is great, the room was wonderful.Staff very friendly & helpful.
I like the hotel location, and the cleaning stuff. But they didn't put more facilities in the room, like water isn't enough. thanks
Lovely facilities and fabulous view from Royal Suite. Was fortunate enough to get an upgrade.
No downside really.
The best hotel in London we have ever had. Not so cheap, but everything was working, smiling people around us. Sweat dream in London comparing we had before. Underground 200 m away. Nice
used to be a favourite hotel for my husband and I when our children were at university.I spent 2 nights with my grandson after a 15 year absence and it fulfilled all my expectations he also found it was a great place to stay laundry, food nightclub and general ambience
Great hotel in a perfect location for sightseeing. Steps to Kensington and Hyde Park, a short walk to the tube station and a bus route right outside the door. Comfortable beds, large rooms and bathrooms. Particularly liked the shower.
My husband & I stayed here whilst attending a concert in nearby Hyde park. We were celebrating my husbands 30th Birthday so i decided to book a room here as atreat. We were not dissapointed. the hotel is easy to get to from the tube (a 5/10 minute walk) & is very impressive. The staff were friendly, helpful & polite & even organised a 'priority clean' of our room as we had arrived much earlier than we expected. We had brunch in nearby Aubaine (which was excellent) before heading back to the hotel & relaxing for a few hours before we headed out. The room itself was great - we were on the 9th floor & had stunning views over Kensington Gardens &the London Skyline. I would reccomend this hotel to anyones looking for a slice of luxury in the big smoke - our only regret was we didn't spend more time in the hotel!
The park view from the rooms, it's why we always come back to the hotel. The side cabinets look a little outdated and in 1 room needs replacing as is damaged with use and for the cost of the room was surprising.
The room wasn't ready until 3pm and we had to wait in reception; for a 1 night stay this was disappointing.
The location, the Chinese Restaurant and the friendliness of all the staff members.
