The room was spacious and had a comfortable bed. Dinner and breakfast were very good value - in all, a pleasant experience. The decor is looking a bite tired - could do with a bit of a repaint in places, but nothing to complain about.

It was centrally located for our needs and in a quiet location. The avialability of a family room for three to include breakfast was ideal for us. Good off street parking is avialable but when the restaurant / pub is busy it can be difficult to find a space. The beds are only provided with one pillow with no others avialale in the room. Other than that the stay was good value for money.

We stayed for 2 nights at the hotel with our two cocker spaniels. The hotel was very dog friendly with a fantastic wood at the end of the car park. The hotel may need a bit of sprucing up but our room was very spacious and very clean, the staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Location suited us as half way to a long w/end in Cornwall and we didn't leave until after work. So very pleased still seving meals until 10pm which were very good value and just what we needed. The bedroom was reasonably spacious and with a proper bathroom and all very clean witha kingsize comfortable bed so it measily met all our needs. We would happily stay agin if in vicinity.

The hotel provided outstanding value for money with a very clean and well appointed room, friendly and efficient staff and a spacious bar and restaurant. I thought the "two tier" breakfast" was a very sensible arrangement - with a light but well-presented buffet included in the room rate, and the opportunity to pay for a traditional meal at extra cost. There was plenty of parking space. In spring and summer I believe that the gardens and the village of Birdlip would be very attractive. The "in bath" shower required care to achieve a comfortable temperature.

The hotel was comfortable and clean and the staff were very friendly. The food was very good and served well. The rooms were well maintained and very clean. There was a comfortable feel to the place which made us feel at home. A little more local knowledge regarding local transport would be helpful.

I stay at the Royal George about six or seven times per year, it is a very comfortable relaxed Inn with good food and excellent service. The perfect anidote after work. The rooms are clean, functional and quiet considering location. I always check the web price before I book other local hotels as it is my hotel of choice when in Gloucester, the food is very well priced and offers good pub / inn fayre cooked well, would always reccommend

Excellent bed Copious hot water Very good breakfast 1970S Bernie Inn style of decor, furniture and menu. Bedroom wasn't heated despite -5c outside (soon resolved by turning on radiators) Such a beautiful building situated in stunning contryside deserved better by way of sympathetic interior design and a better variation of food with some up-market specialities. the Cotswolds are bursting with excellent food markets especially lamb, pork and vegetables - none on the menu. No work stations or quiet space to work, no place to relax, a sauna, mini gym or squash court would be a welcome attraction.

Great location (one mile from where I was working the following day) Very reasonable price (£39 for the room) Huge bed with good quality linen. Big bath. Friendly atmosphere. Friendly check in and reception. Lovely grounds with woodland walks. Good bar food. A little tired decor-wise. Scruffy communal areas re carpets and paintwork. Walpaper hanging off wall in my room and furniture old and damaged (not in an antique way...in a 1970's way) Also bathrooms have obviously been renovated and whilst spotless and clean, what a shame in such a lovely old building they have been done in a corporate 'travelodge' style with lino floors and formica units to house basin and loo. But at the price of £39 for a room.....really this is not a complaint!
