Room without steps!
Steps,over 60 steps every time.Respect the age,I am over 65!!!
My wife left £60 in cash in the room by mistake. The money was found and returned to us. What more can you say ?
Iv been and stayed in some B&B's in my time and for money wise they were not exactly cohabitable so when a friend found this hotel on the Internet we booked it due to location and price....was not expecting to turn up to the hiltons in our eyes! Don't get me wrong, there was a few little snags but loved it and price was very reasonable especially for London. Would deffenetly book again.
Price & cleanliness
Too warm, WiFi didn't reach top floor
Good location, everything satisfactory, would definately stay again, breakfast good
location my room was fine for me the staff that I saw were friendly and helpful.
my two friends had a twin room which smelled, the carpet was wet, one bed had marks on the bedding
walking distance to hammersmith station, tesco, kebab place, 3 bus stop from westfield mall
room was infront of busy road especially morning.
A very excellent hotel in terms of everything. The cleanliness is excellent, breakfast is good, the location is near to the tube station (within walking distance), kebab stall, sundries shop and shopping mall. They also provided us with wifi's password. Would recommend to my friends.
The room is a lil bit small for 4 person. Also the stairs is somehow small. No lift.
Lovely friendly staff (especially lovely lady who did breakfasts) Nice mix of clientelle Safe and secure nice area nice eateries in area and pubs/shops
some of chrome bathroom fittings have rusted and could do with being replaced or disposed of., otherwise totally clean these items let down what otherwise would be an excellent score, as they look bad
Comfy beds, very clean, friendly staff, satisfying breakfast, good location for the Apollo Hammersmith.
The bathroom floor slippery when wet, could do with a shower mat to step out on.
The Hotel is bright, clean and fresh. And although our room (no.57) was on the small side, the integral shower room was modern, warm and inviting. The Hotel staff couldn't have been more helpful or polite.
As we were only staying one night, the following were not a big issue: we were awoken by doors slamming and could hear guests chatting in the next room - but this is only to be expected from a hotel that has not been purpose built. Unfortunately not so easy to overlook was the lack of hot water for a 9am shower. I part blame myself for leaving my shower until after breakfast. Although reception assured me The Royal has more than adequate hot water storage / boiler capacity it's strange the hot water was perfect the evening we arrived. Never mind :-)
Price and good reviews for cleanliness. All staff very friendly and pleasant.
No mattress or pillow protectors. Wall lights on walls didn't work, nor did hairdryer in bathroom. No fresh fruit as an option for breakfast.
Great location. Basic place but what we needed for a quick night over in London. Decent bed and shower
Woke up with 30+ bedbug bites in room 66. Got a full refund straight away but just a pain to deal with the bites. London is covered in bed bugs and I hope they treated the room after. Shame as place was otherwise fine
Basically it's a good hotel, recommended...
Our room was next to the steps, so it was very noisy day and night! Don't get room no 39!
Location Price (as for London) was acceptable Friendly staff
The room was small and the smell in it was not very nice The bathroom was very small and without ventilation The tap in the shower was broken and it was very hard to adjust a proper temperature of water (most of the time it was much too hot)
Personnel very friendly and helpful, nice and clean rooms, anytime again.
Exterior was lovely, decked area with feature lighting and topiary and the exterior walls were lovely and clean despite the busy road. Went to the main reception, greeted by friendly staff in a well lit reception hall. decorative mirrors and halogen spot-lighting gave the whole reception a very lavish feel to it. Shown to our room upstairs, feeling like we should take our shoes off before treading on the extremely clean looking carpets. after showing us our room's features, the receptionist gave us our key card, the internet password and made us feel very welcome. Everything was so clean!! spotless and shiny, like everything was almost new! the room was beautifully decorated and very cosy. we each had towels and toiletries laid out decoratively on each bed. in fact the towels were so white, i feared that my dyed hair might have stained them, so i went to make an odd sounding request with the reception for an old towel that they didn't mind being stained. the gentleman escorted me through the dining room, to the kitchen where he offered me a freshly washed and tumble dried fluffy towel that had a tiny hole in. "This one's no good to give to guests for use, we keep them for cleaning" such a standard that no guest should have a towel with even the tiniest hole in! He showed me the dining room, and pointed out the coffee machine. "if you run out of tea and coffee in your room, feel free to use the machine here any time, it does hot chocolate too" Wow! we had a plentiful supply of tea and coffee in the room so it was unlikely, but kiddo liked that she could have hot chocolate such amazing service at this hotel and extremely comfortable beds. the double glazed windows blocked out the noise of the busy road outside our front of house room and we slept very soundly indeed. Wish we'd stayed here for all three nights of our stay in London!
What didn't you like? - Leaving :(
quiet place, not too far from public transport breakfast was above average, however quite monotonic after few days
double room features only single bed, although somehow wider. front office personnel is not much heplful, have difficulties with as simple things as returning change or handing out receipt for accepted payment
beeing so close to many points of interest. Well served by tube and busses-
staff were very helpful -stored our luggage ,offered to print out something for us ,lady dealing with breakfast very cheerful ,spoke very clearly to all guests. close to Tube .Breakfast was fine for the price we paid -eggs and beans cooked to order ,toast and cereal.Very clean.
no WiFi in our room ,couldn't get more than one channel on TV -didn't raise either with the hotel so might have been fixable but we weren't bothered.Everything was pretty basic but very good value so fair enough for the price -would stay again
!Royal Guest House was clean and bright. Good breakfast, Easy to get in to London. Hope to stay again.
Limited space in toilet and shower. Must mind the step from the hallway into the breakfast room!
LOCATION FOR GETTING INTO CENTRAL LONDON IS EXCELLENT
Position to underground , clean tidy
Breakfast was basic .
