Comprised of adjoining Georgian townhouses dating back to 1799, this charming, unqiue hotel in Ramsgate's historic garden crescent has amazing harbor and sea views. A 10 minute taxi ride from Kent International Airport, the hotel offers welcoming, real open fires in the lounge and reception area, as well as an honor bar where you can help yourself to drinks. Start the day with a cooked-to-order English breakfast. The hotel is ideally located within easy reach of the train station, the sea front, the yacht marina, Ramsgate ferry terminal, Dover ferry terminals and many other sites. All rooms have TV/Video or TV/DVD/Freeview digital channels with a complimentary video/DVD library in reception where you can help yourself to movies on a rainy afternoon. Hotel Rooms: 18

Amazing view of the Royal Harbour, superb breakfast, good location for visiting the town or the surroundings. The "cosy room" is too small for two people but for one o two nights is fine.

Most lovely views, nice cosy rooms to make you feel at home, excellent breakfast, charmingly decorated living rooms, very friendly and helpful staff, a place to just sit back and relax! Close to all the pubs and restaurants at the seafront as well as shopping area in the vicinity. Guests receive a key for the front door, so one can come and go as one wishes - at every hour of the day. Very very enjoyable!! A tad expensive, but then again great value for money!

Breakfasts were very good. Nice dining room and lounge. Our ground floor bedroom had a low ceiling and was a bit fusty. Cheap pine wardrobe. TV was an old fashioned version - difficult getting channels.

Good seafront location, comfy, helpful staff and lovely breakfast. Comfy bed, nice shower, plenty of tea and coffee in the rooms, nice lounges and seating for chilling out at the end of the day. Perfect for our weekend get away.

This is a slightly quirky small seaside hotel. The rooms aren't huge, but this is due to the owners having retrofitted comfortable en- suite facilities. Although we didn't have a chance to make use of them, I like the honesty bar, the cheese and biscuits left out at night and the record player for guests to use in the sitting room. The stairs could be steep for the less able traveller.

I really like their lounge, it feels like I am at home. The honest bar and cheese/snack services at night is also excellent. My husband & I had a great night with other guests. The harbour view from our top floor room was so beautiful. We took an advantage their check-out time, which is 12pm, we stayed at our room and had a very relaxed Sunday morning. I am looking forward to staying the Royal Harbour Hotel again, soon.

Wonderful views over the harbour. Eccentric decoration: art works everywhere. Excellent breakfast. Cheese and biscuits laid on as 'supper'. Cabin room was indeed 'cosy' - furniture not ideal for such a small space.

The hotel looks onto the harbour and great care has been taken to furnish/accessorise the main rooms. The staff, particularly David, were very helpful and cheery. The double harbour room with four poster should really have been classified as a single room. Small bed, one side of which was up against the wall with limited room around the other side. I slept up against the wall and a comfort break in the night required me to climb to the bottom of the bed rather than disturb my husband. Parking is also extremely problematic. In effect the hotel has 2 spaces at the rear of the hotel and onstreet parking to the front. Which was very popular with most of the residents of Ramsgate

The character and atmosphere. Loved the logs fires on a very windy and wet June evening. The cheese plate is a nice touch at the end of a lovely day. The bed in room 10 was very uncomfortable, lumpy and worn out. I changed to room 7 but I think the mattresses need to be replaced.

The Cabin room was cosy, well-appointed with a lovely view of the harbour. Might feel a little cramped if you were staying more than a night or two, however, there are plenty of other choices of rooms. The big attraction of the hotel, though, are the groundfloor rooms - lovely relaxing lounge with open wood fire, great choice of magazines and papers, dvds, videos and music (proper vinyl on a proper record player). Several quiet nooks and crannies for reading or working, free wireless access. We were staying due to a funeral, and the hotel was very helpful, providing space for a family meeting, setting up a coffee station. Food at the hotel is very good, and includes an honesty bar and cheese and biscuits in the evening.

The decor of the hotel, the sea views and the cleanliness. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was bright and spotlessly clean and felt like being in a bedroom not an impersonal hotel room. It felt like being in someone's home and I would thoroughly recommend the hotel. Breakfast was really good too! Overall the hotel has a relaxed and welcoming feel.

Service/attention to detail. Value for money. Excellent breakfast and the many ,very commendable, small touches eg honnesty box for drinks, complimentary cheese and biscuits after 9 pm. The very interesting/quaint building and contents which are used to best advantage for the benefit of guests. The "cabin bedroom" with en suite shower was - as expected - small but very adequate for our one night stay.

The double room was far too small, more like a single, quite uncomfortable for two people. It didnt match the photos of the room on website. Dissapointed.

The hotel was quirky and interesting. The breakfast was very high quality with a huge range of choice. The room was clean and the bed comfortable and had excellent sea/harbour views. The room decor was to a reasonable standard The room was small and therefore I consider over priced. The room was too hot at night. It was difficult to find parking outside. To close the curtains, we had to pull the bed out.

We liked the fact that it was near the sea/harbour The only thing that was disappointing was that our room was not facing the front and towards the sea

It was very cosy, clean and tidy and the staff were lovely. Breakfast was good and the honesty bar was wonderful as we could enjoy a quiet drink with friends after a long day, and the cheese and biscuits provided at night were a welcome snack. My only complaint would be the size of the rooms, we paid extra for a larger room but it was still quite small but not as small as the cheaper double rooms where the beds were against the wall in our friends rooms but I have to say they were really comfortable. Anyway the hotel was a joy to stay in and we thoroughly enjoyed our 1 night there. Stairs a bit steep as no lift so wouldnt recommend it for the elderly.

Breakfast choices were really good. Service from the morning Receptionist/Waiter was very good. Got a lovely chocolate rabbit on Easter Sunday. I was put in a room 5 flights up and I had my dog with me. She couldn't make it up all the stairs after a few times. Also the room had no dvd player (which was advertised on their web-site when you check for availability) and the tv and internet connections were intermittent to say the least. They did move me to another room when I requested which was only 1 flight up. It did have a dvd player, but I couldn't get it to work.Rooms along the sea front are very noisy as there is no double glazing.

The hotel is in a great location and we had a room with fantastic views over the harbour. It is nice to stay in a hotel that is "boutique" rather than a faceless chain. It felt family run and all the better for it. I would recommend to anyone visiting Ramsgate.

We love The Royal Harbour Hotel - it is great for a stay by the sea and even perfect if the weather isn't too great as the fire place is lit and you can chill out with games and a drink or two overlooking the harbour! Fabulous place!

We found the receptionist at the time to be fairly welcoming. The full english breakfast is very tasty, and the natural honey complete with comb delicious!! We were given a room facing the harbour on the first floor. The room was very small with the bed more or less dominating the tiny space, despite the smallness of the room, it seemed impossible to achieve that cosy feeling. We did turn up the radiator, but it seemed to remain luke warm. We had floor to ceiling window/doors onto a small balcony, where we were told we could smoke if we wanted, being non-smokers we declined, but it was clear from the aroma that others hadn'T. Important to note that pets are allowed here.....we were kept awake by a dog whining in the room next door whilst we tried to sleep.
