Lovely living room(Not private), Kind staff, Free snacks and cheese, Comfortable bed
hotel atmosphere and excellent room
Excellent accommodation. Very comfortable Particularly friendly and helpful
Good service & very helpful also great selection of food for breakfast
view from back of hotel
Breakfast, staff, location
Dirty room and shower, needs to be repainted, quite expensive
Style of hotel. Staff. Cleanliness. Breakfast. Location
We had a problem with a noisy drunk guest in the room above us which the lady duty manager sorted out very efficiently which was impressive.
The room we were in at the rear was above where smokers congregate to smoke so when the window was open it made our room smoky. There was also a noisy extractor fan near by for the kitchen which was noisy.
The beds were amazingly comfortable. Wonderful breakfast and staff very helpful and accommodating. Nice quirky feel to the place making it much better than faceless corporate hotels
Room really small and thus I would say not great value for money. If that's not a problem though would definitely recommend
Staff Breakfast Closeness to town and amenities
The room, for the price
Fantastic view over the harbour, sun on balcony, great breakfast - fantastic choice of food - cakes, fruit, cold meats vegan, vegetarian, in addition to cooked breakfast
late night cheese and biscuits , great idea with the little bar in the lounge and great lounge with quirky things in , also one of the best breakfast from a small hotel ever , selection unbelievable
tv did not work
Very comfortable room overlooking the marina, wonderfully comfortable bed with fresh cotton bedding in a beautifully decorated room. Breakfast cooked while you waited, wonderful fresh fruit and juice everything you could have wanted. I would highly recommend
Nothing I loved this hotel.
Very attentive and welcoming staff. They couldn't have been more helpful. Great location, beautiful decor.
Lovely hotel in a nice location. Comfortable clean room with a great house keeping lady. Lovely breakfast with lots of choice!!!
Room was on the top floor with about 6 flights if stairs which was a struggle for my mum !! But it was partly my thought for not requesting a low level ! View was not very pleasant !!
Breakfirst Bed confort Hotel situation
Bed not long enough for my legs Climbing up to the 3rd floor was very very sporty with the luggages.
Location was great, comfy beds, lovely buildings. 2nd building newly refurbished.
Junior Suite at £295 for 2 nights wasnt really a suite - I've stayed in far larger double rooms with better seating areas. You had to go to a different building a few doors away for breakfast - not good if the weather is poor and no way to be treated when paying for the most expensive rooms. No phone in room or guest info so you had to go to the other building with any questions - a bit of a chore if you're on 2nd floor! Restaurant has 7 tables for 31 rooms which doesn't work! Draft excluder on doors means they slam when you shut them, meaning you were often woken by other guests. Lots of road/traffic noise which single glazed windows don't block out.
Great location, very clean and the food was excellent.
Excellent bed, shower and a terrific breakfast served in a lovely set of rooms. Staff were polite and really helpful. Great location, wonderful harbour views.
£90 was a bit steep -I'd stayed close by previously in only slightly lesser surroundings at Comfort Inn for £55.
The view was wonderful. Decor in room very pretty. Bathroom facilities very good.
Didn't feel like a hotel as I was in a seperate house down the road. Toiletries rather skimpy. I was in a double room which would have been rather more than cosy for two.
The breakfast and general service was outstanding for the price. Stunning views. Rooms very well appointed, old-fashioned charm but with exceptional coffee and wifi. Perfect for a short break with that extra bit of comfort.
A bit old-fashioned, which we loved but may not be for all. A lot of stairs for some rooms - so be clear when booking if you don't want a climb.
The hotel was lovely, staff, room, breakfast and dinner fantastic.
The stairs to the twin room on top floor all 50 of them. Not good for the golden oldies.
The communal lounge and garden areas are well resourced and comfortable. The breakfast is very good
The room is very small - a few feet for manoeuvre around three sides of the bed. This was fine for our one night stay but I would not like to stay in such a small room for any longer.
We had a lovely warm welcome on arrival, and it was obvious that the hotel was a source of pride. Our harbour facing room was delightful....beautifully designed and very comfortable. The extra touches.....flowers in room, evening cheeseboard, honesty bar, and excellent breakfast, made us feel appreciated as guests.
Very quirky place to stay, very central location. Staff couldn't do enough for you. Great breakfast - everything you could ask for.
We were in one of the attic rooms, lots of stairs to negotiate and the final flight with the rope bannister are not for the feint hearted!
The staff were very friendly. We had a room with a harbour view and a balcony. Great choice for breakfast.
Wardrobe could do with updating. Bed was comfy but too big for the room.
