The building itself has the classic elegance and the room has quite modern comfort such as TV in the bathroom and iPod speakers in the bedpost... Room and the bathroom were spacious, clean, functional, friendly receptionist, efficient concierge, best location to walk around (probably less than 5 minutes walk to the Trafalgar Square)... The only thing is that there was no view from the windows, but I know that if you had the view on the Thames, the room price must be double! (Which is still worth it!) |

The location was perfect. The quality of all furniture, fixtures and fittings was excellent. Breakfast was much better than the average hotel fare.A very well managed hotel indeed Our bedroom(810) window faced across the river to "The Wheel". Unfortunately, the windows were about 15 feet above the floor, so we could see nothing! |

Location is very good. 1 minute walk to tube, 5 minutes to the Mall and Trafalgar square. Facility was nice and impressed with the built-in iPod doc station. Very disappointed with room allocation. I booked two rooms, one for me and my wife and one for my friend as single use. The hotel placed us in a small room with no space to walk around and no bath tub, while my friend enjoyed a room that was 1.5 times the size and with a bath tub. I only found this fact out when we were leaving. Also our shower door had poor sealing so we had a pool in our bathroom after we had a shower. If they place you in room 321, ask for room change or at least check the shower door sealing. Despite that the hotel had nice hard ware, shame that the service level did not match. |

except for the building and postion, nothing else.. disorganized, slow in giving the room because they did not find the booking, then when they give it it was on the raod very noisy so I could not sleep the all night, they were full so they could not give a new one. At breakfast no green tea, no fresh orange juyce, taoasts not toaste. Definitely not at all a five star service. |

This is a lovely hotel which lives up to its star rating. Could not fault it for cleanliness, comfort and excellent service. The decor is really nice and the mix of old and new in the building works really well very tastefulluy done. Overall a really pleasant experience . Will definitely be back |

Location, great bathroom, clean hotel Not a great value even at discounted room rates. They show you an amazing photo of the outside hotel, but you'll be shoved in an interior "courtyard view" room which means you'll overlook a small cement hole in the middle of the hotel with pipes and exhaust systems (a constant white noise of fans and motors all night). There is no grass or courtyard. The staff wasn't helpful or knowledgeable of the area and didn't seem to care about being warm or welcoming. The guy who checked us in barely spoke to us, acted annoyed when we asked a question, and then just shuffled papers without really answering the question or seeming to care. The Hilton property (Trafalgar Hotel) a couple blocks away has much better service for the price. |

The location of the hotel was perfect for the West End and Central London. The breakfast was excellent. The room was very clean and well equipped. The room was a little small for the price, but perfectly fine for our one night stay. A very minor point, but the lead on the hairdyer was so short I had to lean over to dry my hair and could not sit up to look in the mirror! |

Very central, good breakfasts & reasonable dinners. Staff were very helpful with touristy things. All very tidy & clean. I would go back. Double beds too small. |

The luxury of the hotel and easiness to the river and surrounding sites. Works going on at Whitehall made it a bit noisy. When we arrived there was no booking for us! I was not very impressed. We had travelled up for a prebooked evening out for dinner and if there had been no room available I would have been very annoyed as this was a birthday treat for my husband |
