location is perfect for central london outing staff were really friendly and helpful hotel is beautifully decorated rooms very comfortable, clean, well decorated
rooms without a river view are a bit like a dungeon - so request a river view! breakfast rather busy and expensive - take a wander outside, there's plenty of great places to eat within 5 minutes walk
I booked this for for my Husband's birthday. Twenty five years ago My husband had surprised me with a stay at Horseguards before we were married, so it was extra special. Everything was perfect.
Good location and excellent staff speciaaly at reception and housekeeping. Very good room clean with comfortable bed. Very good breakfast with good varieties and choices.
The lady supervisor in the breakfast restaurant. Her behaviour was really ackward, unaccomodating and impolite at all. Other staff at the restaurant were really nice and welcoming.
The location and the staff were very attentive. The room was well equipped , claen and welcoming We really enjoyed our stay.
I can't really think of anything worth mentioning
Beautiful building in a central location overlooking the river, perfect!
Helpful and pleasant staff. TV in bathroom. Tea and coffee facilities. Iron.
Small room/bed, no view. Prefer hair dryer in bathroom.
Perfect location to visit most of the popular attractions. Staff were most helpful arranging tickets, giving advise and information. All staff were friendly, service was excellent but discrete. Breakfast offered a wide range of choices, especially lots of fresh fruit. No noise at all at night along corridors, very quiet rooms.
I would have preferred a bath after a hard day sightseeing, but the shower was of a high standard so can't really complain.
Location, tea, charm/history of building
The location was excellent
The room allocated on check in had no natural light and was very small. this was sold as a deluxe room?
Location is A1. Staff were very attentive. View was stunning. Not cheap...but neither is a Rolls Royce! 1212 Restaurant was superb.
Location Afternoon tea and breakfast
Politeness of staff, cleanliness and location were excellent
Staff very friendly and helpful and such a lovely hotel
Everything but the menu in restaurant
Not enough selection in the restaurant
THE STAFF WERE VERY POLITE AND HELPFULL VERY PLEASED WITH EVERYTHING WOULD STAY AGAIN
Free wifi Free gym Free bottled water in rooms Shower with TV etc was very nice Reasonably sized rooms Seating area around the ground floor
Food for the room service order was not good. Burger undercooked and chips cold and rock hard. Loud road noise in the early hours as London gets to work
Superb hotel. Afternoon tea a must. Breakfast had everything you could want. Nothing too much trouble for the staff. Definitely returning next year.
Everything about the hotel is first class Wonderful !
A beautiful classic hotel in an excellent city position! Very comfortable beds, bathrobes, 2 flatscreens, tea, coffee and water, umbrella. Excellent breakfast. Staff was extremely friendly and helpfull.
Lovely room with large windows overlooking the front of the hotel. Very comfortable and clean. Lovely breakfast
Every morning we had to look for staff to ask for coffee and toast. On one occasion I made a request three times. Dined one evening in restaurant no condiments on table and some items of cutlery were missing, we were given the dessert menu before we had received our main meal. Better organisation needed
Location was good. Traditional features, nice bar area, could be a great little find.
The room was TINY, the bed didn't feel like a double. Shower didn't work, TV picture was poor, hair dryer didn't work. You get what you pay for in London - was ok, but wouldn't stay again.
Service was very poor. Bar service very slow - did not serve at tables and when stood at bar to order drinks, had to get bar staff's attention to place order - the bar was not busy. In the cafe lounge, again service very poor. Eventually got waitresses attention to order coffees (I'm positive she tried to ignore me) and then took 15 mins for 4 coffees - it wasn't busy either
A lovely big room, very attractive, good value for money.
No parking nearby
Location good breakfast helpful staff underfloor heating in the bathroom
Bedroom could have been darker
The staff, the atmosphere of quiet, friendly impeccable service, the view and the sense of space in the public areas.
