Staff very friendly and helpful and such a lovely hotel
Everything but the menu in restaurant
Not enough selection in the restaurant
THE STAFF WERE VERY POLITE AND HELPFULL VERY PLEASED WITH EVERYTHING WOULD STAY AGAIN
Free wifi Free gym Free bottled water in rooms Shower with TV etc was very nice Reasonably sized rooms Seating area around the ground floor
Food for the room service order was not good. Burger undercooked and chips cold and rock hard. Loud road noise in the early hours as London gets to work
Superb hotel. Afternoon tea a must. Breakfast had everything you could want. Nothing too much trouble for the staff. Definitely returning next year.
Everything about the hotel is first class Wonderful !
A beautiful classic hotel in an excellent city position! Very comfortable beds, bathrobes, 2 flatscreens, tea, coffee and water, umbrella. Excellent breakfast. Staff was extremely friendly and helpfull.
Service was very poor. Bar service very slow - did not serve at tables and when stood at bar to order drinks, had to get bar staff's attention to place order - the bar was not busy. In the cafe lounge, again service very poor. Eventually got waitresses attention to order coffees (I'm positive she tried to ignore me) and then took 15 mins for 4 coffees - it wasn't busy either
A lovely big room, very attractive, good value for money.

Location good breakfast helpful staff underfloor heating in the bathroom
Bedroom could have been darker
The staff, the atmosphere of quiet, friendly impeccable service, the view and the sense of space in the public areas.
it was a special occasion for me and my partner who came from Rome. I asked the hotel 10 days prior to our arrival for a room with a view on a high floor. They were kind to write back saying that this was arranged. I was happy that our wish to see London and the river from our room would finally come true (we never had that chance). we arrived at the hotel and everybody was nice and very polite and the receptionist assured me that we shall have a room with a view so we were excited and looking forward to that. However, when we got into the room we were shocked to find out that it has only two very small windows on the side and just a wall where the central window should be. You can imagine the disappointment that we had. from that moment onward we didn't enjoy our stay at the hotel. Thanks
Wonderful location, airy room overlooking The Thames. Front of house staff were excellent. Enjoyed our stay.
great location, good service and old charm. I also liked the coffee and tea service in the room
Hotel feels a bit old and would need some modernization, specially the public rooms, restaurant and corridors.
The whole ambience of the hotel, where we had stayed two years previously. A wonderfully elegant building just a few yards walk from the river. Top marks plus for the staff - they could not have been more helpful. Probably the best buffet style buffet that my wife and I have experience. buffet breakfasts can be pretty awful but at the RH the food was almost as fresh as cooked to order.
Oh dear, After the eulogy of praise now comes the bad bit. Sunday Lunch. Since the breakfast had been so good we booked Sunday Lunch which at £ 35.00 each we expected to be excellent. It was a far from excellent as you can get - rubbish in other words. There was only a choice of three dishes for each course and the only roast meat available was beef. If you don't like beef then we serve grief (with apologies to Basil Fawlty). The starter and pudding were just about OK but the main course was lamentable. I don't expect a restaurant in a hotle of the star rating as the RH to serve a roast lunch plated but they did. We were not asked how we would like the beef cooked so we had it as it came - tough and chewy. Thee was no choice of vegetables - roast potatoes only, no mashed or boiled, and the two mashed potatoes looked strangely familiar to the ones that come out of a packet in the supermarket. The other vegetables looked to have originated from a similar source (I would not insult ALDI by suggesting that they were the supplier.) One sad piece of cauliflower, similar piece of broccoli and a few beans and peas. There was just a dribble of gravy so we asked for more. Now I sware this was true - they waitress did not know what gravy was !! We tried sauce and jus with no avail so she checked with a colleague and sure enough the extra gravy arrived but not before the meat went cold. My wife then had the temerity to ask for horseradish sauce. This presented a similar problem to our waitress and when the staff meeting that followed identified what we wanted there followed and undignified scrabbling in cupboards to find a bottle. Obviously the chef did not realise that people like horseradish sauce with beef or maybe the customers at the RH are so sophisticated that they only take HP Brown Sauce of Tomato Ketchup on their beef. If the Hotel is going to serve this level of sub-greasy spoon rubbish to its clients at £ 35.
All members of staff from reception to restaurant extremely welcoming and friendly. Restaurant manager seated an influx of guests for breakfast with calm efficiency and fairly in turn. Bar staff knew how to properly compose a Manhatten cocktail! Would definitely return here again.
Owing to style of curtains in suite it was difficult to totally close them at night to eliminate the light outside to sleep.
Politeness of staff in particular and everything in general
Unless you talk with a posh accent you will not get the best out if this hotel - my money is as good as theirs!!!
The staff where very understanding and helpful. All the staff in the breakfast room could not do enough. The breakfast choice was excellent We loved our room as it had a very good view over the river. location was great for London. We had a drink in the bar and the staff were happy and made us welcome would love to visit again when i am in London and try the afternoon tea
The price of the drink
The hotel inside was beautiful. We were checked in by a lovely young man who made us feel very welcome. The bed was super comfy
Everything was nice
Location is fantastic and staff very welcoming.
We were offered a room which we were told overlooked the courtyard. There was no view the window was opaque and nothing could be seen.
