Clean rooms, excellent food and extreamly relaxing.
the location, bed room and dining
The bar area was really poor and uninviting. As a result we went out of the Hotel to another evening venue across the road. Perhaps if the bar was refreshed, better décor and comfort more guests would use this facility. Also, I have used the Royal on a number of occasions in the past. I am sure the price of the room on this occasion was considerably higher and no discount for a previous customer. During the week of this visit we had stayed in other hotels, of a similar or higher rating, as far away as Fortwilliam and this and less costly
Location, varied menu in the evenings. Staff helpful.
Dripping shower and only one set of towels. There was a feedback form in room which I commented on the above but these were just the same the following day.
Ancient lift - my husband has a disability - so necessary Bath, tiling and shower dated, marked and leaking Single glazed, dirty and old curtains Disabled access was poor
Food room staff excellent
Decor needs updating breakfast uninteresting not enough comfy chairs in bar area
Staff were friendly booking in was a joy bed was comfortable breakfast was great !
Late night noise from generator or air con unit, no other issues just a good honest hotel.
Good breakfast. Staff fantastic. Rooms comfortable and clean.
Staff were friendly and polite. Place was clean.
Felt staff levels for a Sunday were a little light and they seemed under a lot of pressure.
Staff excellent, especially young man serving breakfast of Wednesday 24th Sept. Very polite and friendly. Check in staff also very good. Loved the old lift felt as though I was in a museum!
Bathroom had no blind on window and although glass frosted it was a bit lacking in privacy especailly at night when light was on. Bathroom needed an update with new sealant round the bath.
Nothing other than the understanding of one member of staff - Megan . Without her help this stay was a disaster .
This hotel is in need of HELP . Light in room not working . No tv remote control . Shower was broken and who ever cleaned the room would have known this . Service at breakfast even though it was not busy service was pathetic . I had to get up and ask where my breakfast was . People around me were being served first even thought I had arrived 15 mins before them . Seriously poor all round . Don't stay here if you have a choice . !
Staff pleasent enough Lovely building from outside Clean linen & towels
Wedding on in Royal so after doing battle to park told we were moved to Ivy along the road. Ivy in need of upgrade, a bit grubby with wallpaper coming away cobwebs everywhere, stains on carpet, no hot water, shower head broken. Chairs in breakfast room broken. Not worth £120 - will not be rushing back.
I asked for a quite room ,which I got . But also must have been the smallest room in the hotel ,room 33 not value for money
The room was tiny , I complained and gor a reduction ,peter the manager was very nice and helpful
The location , ease of car parking, and the price. The choice on the menus was good. The hotel has character
The beds were uncomfortable, the towels were old and tore easily. The fried breakfast was 'swimming' in fat, and the omlette was not cooked through.
The room was ok, except for the slangy floor!
The receptionist was very unwelcoming, the rooms were slanting! Felt like the hotel had subsidence!
Location in centre of bridge of Allan excellent
The fact that our family room was located directly above function suite with loud music blaring until midnight- not good when trying to get the kids to sleep!!
Comfy bed Most of the staff Breakfast
Poor evening meal for the price Made to wait beyond booked time for dinner despite empty tables Noisy room, some sort of machinery running all night
Very friendly staff, nice room overlooking the high street.
Room was VERY warm all the time.
Comfortable, clean room ok for a short stopover.
Rooms in the front overlook the busy a9. There is no double glazing and the traffic noise is very intrusive. Restaurant has basic pub grub type menu, nothing stylish. When we stayed the chef burnt the soup!
2rd room we were given was big & comfortable. nice location
1st room we were given smelled of damp
Spacious room. The surroundings. It is next to Stirling.
Clean Good location Nice lounge
Cold water Bar a bit charmless
Situation, the rear of the property is beautiful, , the room, the staff, surrounding area.
The noise from traffic, which to be fair could have been worse, considering you are on the main road.
We stayed in the annexe to The Royal Hotel- however we were charged the same rate! The room was very small and dated and the staff didnt seem to know what they were doing. The breakfast was poor. I would not recommend this hotel.
Excellent parking Friendly staff Good value Lift
Without warning or apology we were transferred on arrival to Royal Ivy Hotel, a poor relation, with no dinner facilities, substandard furnishings and decor, and no internet.
