Comfortable bed, tea, and TV. Our room was freezing cold, and the shower was cold and had little pressure.

Free WiFi in reception. The restaurant staff were very friendly. The bar was closed before 11. The breakfast was below expectation... Seems the bacon and sausage had been sat on a hot plate all night, the tattie scone was 'tough as leather' and the haggis was offensive to its traditional virtues.

Only one person was serving at our first breakfast. She was overrun and we were nearly late for our ferry. The evening meal was served in the bar. For the price we paid we believe the restaurant should have been made available. The bar was fairly basic and had no atmosphere

Easy to get to, the check in was straight forward and the room was suitable for my needs. Location. The main hotel in the centre and as with last year all you could here was boy racers in their cars right outside the fron window until about 1:30am. Last year was the same only the night porter added to the disturbed night by burning his toast and setting the fore alarm off so we had to evacuate the building. I will not be using the hotel again and I visit twice a year for cycle races.

Pleasant, helpful reception staff. Good breakfast. Comfy bed. Volume of TV while having a bar meal. The carpet in the room hadn't been hoovered in corners or under chairs - didn't want to look under bed!

Comfortable and welcoming. Very good price for two nights stay. A very disappointing Chicken Jalfrezi on the first night of our stay. At £10 for a plate of very low quality curry we weren't pleased. Try the Chinese Restaurant 50 yards to the left of the Hotel and first after the traffic lights. A good value alternative with excellent food.

The room was excellent well laid out. Would not book a front room again as it was a bit noisy due to traffic. Parking is a bit tight but handy.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Single room was a bit on the small side - no room to swing a cat, so to speak.

1 Hotel just been refurbished 2 Breakfast Menu. 3 The £25/night b&b deal. 1 Hotel layout (lots of corridors and fire doors) 2 Small car park (for the number of rooms and could be a problem when busy) 3 Traffic noise outside the room (Vehicles cruising up and down the road late at night and seeming to deliberately create as much exhaust noise as possibe) 4 Tried and failed to obtain the 'internet' price when speaking directly with the reception staff when trying to re-book for a further 10 day stay. I did not feel as though they were making any effort to obtain my repeat business.

The rooms were lovely and the staff very friendly. The breakfast was excellent. The meal we had in the bar in the evening was of poor quality - we had scampi which was overcooked, the chips barely warm and the plates cold.

The staff seemed very friendly. The room was cold with single glazing that was damp with condensation. The property was in the middle of a revamp and still had a lot of work to do. The breakfast offered a choice but we didn't really get one. Compared to a hostel the night before at half the price, this was quite a dismal effort.

Breakfast acceptable The nets at the room window were dirty & full of holes. Shower head over bath too high to be accesabhe and pointing at wall. Water ran down tiled wall past the unsealed bath edge causing flooding downstairs. Carpet under bed un-hoovered Bed uncomfortable. Sleep disturbed by riotous drunken behaviour outside. Lift dirty with grafiti on door.

The Name, Nothing else would attract me to the premises The hotel was in a very tired state, beds require to be replaced, The walls left nothing to the imagination having been awakened from sleep by the next door occupants at 1.30 am in the morning. The food was in my opinion of a very poor standard, (wouldn't go very far on master chef. Would not stay there again.
