Better than we could hope for. Better than a hotel & cheaper too Location is fantastic, Apartment is all you could ever need its a home from home. Didn't bother us as we were on the 1st floor, but the stairwell is narrow, & a lot of the apartments are further up the stairs, maybe a problem if you had a pram etc

Fantastic location! Not cleaned daily. Shower products not replaced daily. No obvious fire exit/ directions. No great problems for ourselves, but should have been warned of 92 steps upto room!

The decor was lovely, and it was very central, clean and just what we needed. One of the bedrooms were noisy but that is what you get with such a central location. It was good that one was quiet incase you didn't like the noise from the street outside. Steep stairs going up to the apartment, better if it had a lift but we were warned about this on the website.

It is right in the centre of Edinburgh so really close to all the attractions. I liked the fact that it had everything we needed to make our own food so it saved us a bit of money not eating out 3 times a day. We could also use the Scotsman spa for free which was really nice, especially after walking up to Arthur's Seat!

We got a last minute offer 50% off, for that price it was very good. Nice rooms and large appartement. Entrance staircase is very narrow and steep. We stayed at no4 (2nd floor) and had a small collapsable pram, that worked but forget about bringing larger prams. There is also no place to park a pram downstairs, you have to bring it up in the appartement. To bad as appartment itself was suitble for bringing children.

Fabulous location in Edinburgh. Right in the middle of the royal mile. So lots to do and very easy to get around. The apartment was huge. Lots of space. Had everything you'd need for a week+ stay. Very comfy. Very recommendable. I'll certainly be back!! Not really a 'didn't like' but since it is on the royal mile there is noise until late. It was never a problem and the back bedroom was quiet. If you want dead quiet this isn't the place to stay. If you enjoy people watching and being close to city action this is perfect! Also the stairs are steep and narrow! No lift/elevator so know your limits and ask for a lower level room.

The location is excellent located in the old town. We could see the magnificent views from the wide screen glass window. We felt like we were at our home. The apartment is fully equiped with furnitures, ironing, washing and etc. The stairs are too narrow and steep.

Our first visit to Scotland. GREAT location for exploring, and great spot for Festival There is alot of noise coming from the Mall outside, early mornings, etc. Thick curtains would help this.

Location. Clean, well equipped apartment. Friendly staff. Shower damaged, plug in sink didn't work properly and wallpaper coming off bedroom wall - small things that really shouldn't happen and mean our stay whilst good was not excellent

The location of the appartment is excellent and very convenient. We also liked the way this old dignified building and its flats had been refurbished. Sounds from the Royal Mile will reach your ears even after midnight... But it's alright.

Great location, and use of spa facilities at Scotsman hotel . Check in at Backpackers hostel- can take a time esp if large party in front ,so be prepared to queue. Also if have appartment looking over Royal Mile can be very noisy at weekends -till 0330 in morning and then street cleaners start at 0600.

Great central location gave a good base for exploring the city. Our appartment faced away from the Royal Mile with a nice view over towards the New Town area. Really nice accommdation where one can provide own drinks / food saving a few pennies. No satellite tv, only Freeview, but then who comes to watch television!

Great position, spacious, comfortable. Quiet even though in the heart of it. Staff were very cheerful and helpful. Should have been made clear we needed to call at 65 Cockburn for the key. Thought I had booked an en suite facility. The second bedroom was very dark and could do with a long mirror some where in the apartment.
