Location, space and complimentary fruits and chocolates.
Good selection of complimentary items, fruit bowl, biscuits, tea and coffee and bottled water. Check in staff were efficient and helpful
Room was quite airless and stuffy, needed to run aircon just to keep the room feeling fresh, obviously not an option during the night. Not used to having to leave key at reception every time I went out
Large rooms and friendly staff.
Hotel near train and bus stations...Kind staff at the reception desk, and they help you with the luggage (no lifts). Comfortable and clean room. We had a pleasent nice stay!
wifi.... good presentation of breakfast cleanliness staff very polite location
Helpful staff, always willing to help. Spacious room
This is an older hotel but it is well maintained and clean. The location is convenient to the train station, bus station and central Oxford. There is no lift but that was not a problem for us and our luggage was brought to our room.
tretment of the guests
no lift available
Enjoyed a very comfortable stay with great bed and space to move around. Location was ideal for city, train, bus and restaurants!
Excellent location if you choose to travel to Oxford by train. The Hotel does not look too much from the outside, but very satisfactory indeed inside. And clean. Very good staff too. Difficult to gauge the cost performance of the hotel because of my first time to revisit Oxford (and its hotels) without wheels! I would stay again, for sure. However, I propose to any guest that, as I did, twin room is best. Single room is the much more compact option, and a little tight for space judging from an outside glance. Nice details in the rooms though.
Facade of building. Size of rooms.
Oxford is expensive. The Royal Oxford is a basic hotel in a downtown location. It is expensive for the quality, but you can walk to everything from there.
Attentive staff and good breakfast. Fruit basket was provided daily and beds were very comfortable.
The staff were very helpful and accommodating, especially when we arrived during a downpour! The historic city is a short stroll away, and it is very close to the railway station. The room was very quiet despite it being quite lively outside on Saturday night. We couldn't hear a thing and slept well.
Very hot out side but AC was great.
Staff always very helpful. Location excellent for train and bus. The complimentary fruit was a lovely bonus. Staff member kindly took luggage up to room.
Selection of tea and coffee
Great location to town and train station.
Everything was very good, location, extras in the rooms, cleanliness, staff. Would recommend it to friends.
Excellent location. Very friendly staff.
Close to bus and train. Easy walk to restaurants and center of town. Very pleasant, helpful staff. Clean.
There was some confusion over price of breakfast but everyone was so nice that it was not a problem.
Professional and polite staff; wide and clean room; position (very near the railway station).
shower is dated and in need of rrpair, had to hold it as kept falling off holder
Convenient for University open day
The staff were so friendly, lots of breakfast options & ideal location.
Just a small thing but not enough plug sockets in the room.
