the decor was stunning, and the room was very clean, jaccuzzi was good very nice the only real problem was the bed. it was extremely uncomfortable, it dipped badly in the middle, and it creaked badly each time you moved |

The staff were lovely friendly and helpful. The hotel was very quiet and relaxed. I stayed in the Paradise room, not for the faint hearted as on the fourth floor, no lift as a listed building. definitely worth it though as the room was delightful, clean and comfortable. would recommend this hotel to others. I loved the hotel and will return again. |

the hotelier was very welcoming. The position of the hotel is ideal for both the city centre/restaraunts,and you cannot get any nearer the sea front. My wife and myself had a very enjoyable stay and would definately recommend it. If anything it would be the stairs.t would not be suitable for anybody with waking difficulties. |

The gentlemen who run the townhouse made us feel very welcome. The room was pretty and very clean. The decor of the hotel is adventurous and fun. We also enjoyed the great freshly cooked breakfast with the musical backdrop provided by our favourite Frank Sinatra album... a wonderful coincidence! Our room was at the very top of the townhouse - a fair hike if you're a bit 'under-exercised' like me. It can also get a bit noisy if there's someone in the room next door. It didn't spoil our stay however. |

The hotel was conveniently situated next to the underground car park and it cost £12.50 for 24 hours. It was great to be able to just forget the car. Generally good location and excellent breakfast. Room was comfortable with everything you needed. The room (Tudor Rose) was perhaps a little fussy (some irrelevant tassles and a random table) and there were a couple of warning notices - perhaps the issues could be avoided to eliminate the need for the notices in the first place. |

The attitude of the staff left a lot to be desired, also in three days the rooms were never made up once, nor were the towels changed. |

It is an unusual hotel decorated in the style of the Royal Pavilion in Brighton and therefore is an expereince. |

It was near the beach Yes, we asked for a romantic room with a view of hte beach (as it was advertised as being near the seafront. It in no way was a luxury room, it faced a street and was very noisy - nothing like advertised. |

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The ambience/decoratve was exceptional and the proximity to the front We found the hotel very noisy - both from outside noise (which is unavoidable I guess) and from noise which carries from room to rom - floors squeaking and guests talking. It was a shame. The decoration was beautiful but did require some touching up - paintwork particularly and the bathroom in the room we used needed attention - seals around the bath/and the floor needed renewing. |

Excellent Bedrooms, very thoughtful decor., nice friendly staff. The stairs are quite steep, which would be especially difficult for a disabled person to navigate. |

Really helpful, friendly staff and had a great cooked breakfast which was served freshly cooked and hot. Room was well decorated and reasonably clean, although paintwork was in need of some TLC and carpet had cigarette burns in it - such a shame. Loved the jacuzzi bath and Moulton Brown products.Would stay there again, a very different experience to the usual chain type hotels. |
