Debbie who runs the hotel was most plesant and accommodating,she made sure we were comfortable and gave us the best room!!...gorgeous with 4poster bed,hand painted walls and exceptional furniture!!!oh ...and jacuzzi bath! Very warm, plenty of hot water, delicious breakfast and convinient location,just mins from the lanes and the sea front!! Couldnt have wished for better! Many thanks Debbie! Will definitely come back!! The cold water tap didnt seem to have any cold water.. but warm..? |

Great breakfast with the best hotel toast ever. Very noisy from the street below. Bedroom window rattled all night in the wind. Would secondary glazing be the answer |

it was in an exellent position - you could walk everywhere - was near the seafront and lots of restaurants and attractions. Clean spacious rooms with an individual style with little extras like wine glasses and a mini fridge along with tea and coffee facilites - spa baths - TV/DVD very enjoyable stay We loved this hotel but as it is a 4/5 story Georgian Townhouse with no lift it would not be suitable for some people because of the stairs. There is no parking although the public carpark is only a few metres away but it is quite expensive to park £31.50 for 2 days plus a couple of hours. |

We were really well looked after by the owner and she was very friendly.Breakfast was good and we felt that our needs would always be met. Very relaxing. One or two things looking a little tired and in need of face lift, but I believe this is in hand after speaking to the owner. We have every confidence she will be making big improvements in the near future. |

We were met with a warm welcome. The rooms are all individual. We even had packets of crisps in our room! Very friendly and helpful. We were able to check in early & were not rushed out at midday. The Stairs! |

Location good for shops, restaurants etc. Public car park directly opposite. Large rooms and great breakfast. It is a 4 storey Georgian town house and no lift, so no good if you can't cope with stairs. |

The enthusiasm of the new owner (taken over just one week previously)and her friendly and attentive attitude to her guests. we look forward to a return visit. The hotel is a little sad and in need of some t l c which the owner is well aware of and I am sure there will be many improvements.. |

The friendliness of the owners and the relaxed feel of the hotel. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and it was very central for the beach/shopping/night life. |

All the rooms are elegant and had majority of facilities available, There was a wide choice of food available for breakfast, they'll even cook what you reqest if the full english is not what you like. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. |

the location was really good, room design was quirky the shower didnt work very well, end caps missing off of the sink taps, lots of light bulbs missing or not working, tea bags loose and looked like they had been used |

Absolutely wonderful. I'd highly recommend. Each room has a different theme, I'd love to stay many more times to see how the other rooms are decorated. Lovely staff, great location. Was a bit noisy due to location, but this obviously can't be helped. I'd take earplugs if you are a light sleeper and staying at a weekend, just because of the noisy drunks. |

The staff where very friendly and genuinely interested in how our day had been, and what our plans were and if necessary had good suggestions for restaurants etc. They also made sure we were constantly updated on when we could reach them and if they would be out. They cook a mean Full English. I like long showers and having to hold the shower head got quite tiring after a while! This depends on whether you have the 'rain shower' or 'jacuzzi bath', I had the former. |

hotel staff very good ,would class this hotel a three star not four bit tatty round the edges our room(tudor rose) very ugly view of tatty roofs bar area looked clussterd and not inviting guest to relax &have a drink |

i thought the decor was fantastic- the four poster bed and spa bath was great also! also, the view and balcony was a plus too the bed was extremely uncomfortable- i think the matress had just about had it- seriously needed replacing, also i didnt like the fact you were limited to when you could check in- had to be before 6pm and we didnt get there until 7.30 and i dont think the owner was pleased! also, we weren't able to get a late check out even when we offered to pay more! |

It was great to stay in such a lovely, clean, quiet hotel in the heart of Brighton. We were in the Beijing Dragon Suite which was really lovely. Having the underground car park nearby was really great; we parked up and forgot about the car for three days - bliss! |

I liked the room which was a good size, bed was comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities and I was unable to have breakfast as had to get up earlier than breakfast time. The owners were very kind and brought up a tray with continental breakfast. The hike up 4 flights of stairs was the only negative comment. |
