Friendly, comfortable, easy communications to London and close to M25

Staff were excellent and very friendly. Breakfast was enjoyable.

In the bedroom the bed fixtures were broken, there was a random screw just sticking out of the wall, windows were filthy, half painted radiators and the mirror was tucked away in the corner nowhere near a socket for the hairdrier. In the bathroom the door lock came off in my wifes hand, 1 light was not working, there was no blind over window to rear and the shower head was too low for me to get under and I am only 6ft 2in (it was eye level!). Breakfast was let down by the dining area which has cracked walls, is very badly painted and there are random half painted wires sticking out. This hotel is worth £40 per night at best!

Plenty of off-road parking. Satellite tv in rooms.

Interior looks a bit tired. Bedroom windows are not double glazed and the guest house is located on a fairly busy suburban road, so some traffic noise is to be expected. Extractor fans in bathrooms run for hours after turned off, particularly overnight!

A very nice owner. Room was small but ok,however the web said it was central to facilities-we arrived late and would have liked to walk out to get a drink- It was quite along way so we went to bed.

Good value no frills BnB, good hearty full english breakfast,nice clean room and wc/shower, the owner was very friendly,bed was very comfortable.tea and coffee in the room was replenished..

In room 3 it just needed a double wardrobe

The room was clean and comfortable, however surprisingly lacking the usual tea and coffee making facilities I have come to expect from establishments such as this. The cooked breakfast was substantial and very well prepared and presented. The buffet selection was adequate with a fine selection of cereals, fruit juice, jams and marmalade, yoghurt and well presented fruit. The staff were friendly, courteous and welcoming.

Three points stand out as not entirely agreeable: 1) The shower went cold after a few minutes. I'm guessing this was because the guest house was already well occupied with families who had presumably already used all the hot water. Bad luck for us I suppose. Regrettably, there wasn't any easy way of contacting staff since there was no telephone in the room. 2) The lack of beverage preparation utensils in the room. There was a kettle in the room, but no cups or tea / coffee so I only assume the kettle was for heating water for washing? Don't know. 3) The bed was the noisiest I have ever used. Any movement in my sleep gave rise to a calamitous row akin to a car crusher in operation. Sadly not conducive to a relaxed night's sleep.
