HOTEL WAS GREAT CLEAN TIDY & AND ALL THE SERICES WHERE A1
THE BAR CLOSED EARLY AND HAD TO GET A NIGHT CAP
The location is great, nice large room which was perfect for 2 women sharing, staff very pleasant and efficient
Noise outside the hotel (construction workers from early morning)
Spacious and airy room, clean bathroom. Hotel has beautiful decor
In November, the room was too warm despite the radiator being turned off, due to the hot pipes running round the room. Street noise not a problem unless the window was open.
There was a lot of noise outside the hotel
The location couldn't be better for those arriving by train, as it's connected to the station. Chose this hotel because of the free use of pool, spa and gym and couldn't be happier with the facilities. WiFi worked great. Christmas decorations were beautiful. Surrounded by good bars and restaurants. Quayside and universities easily accessible.
Very friendly, helpful staff. Comfort. Breakfast great value for a full English. Location great
One little minor issue is the later opening on weekend mornings at the leisure centre.
We upgraded our room
Disappointed with room as slightly tired and dingy. It was more like a basic room than an upgrade.
The bedroom was roomy and comfortable Loved the pool and steam room, was great in the morning to cure the hangover Location was fantastic, right in the middle of everything that you would need and night life
My mate found a pair of boxers in the the waredrobe
Staff helped when asked and were very attentive
The staff at this hotel are outstanding,I stay now and again when visiting my elderly mother in a care home, they are friendly, compassionate and nothing is too much trouble.fantastic!!
Cannot think of anything maybe could do with a few more car parking spaces but so near railway station, I mostly use the train.
Upgraded room was well worth the extra paid, great location and decor throughout
Bar staff very friendly. Location of hotel was near station and metro.
Would like to see seating available on each level near lifts
Hotel was really "tired" and quite shabby. Bed's were uncomfortable with no support, to the point were you sank into a hole.
The fact that the room wasn't ready when we arrived at 1515 despite check in time being 1400.
Hotel location and staff were excellent! Foyer was fantastic
The room was poor, bad strong smell of recent painting which was almost eye watering! The bed was terrible it was sunken in the middle it felt like a hammock!
Central location excellent facilities friendly staff room lively
Stayed here as attending concert. Check in friendly staff. Would definitely stay again.
Location, facility's all perfect
Staff at breakfast more interested in own social lives chatting and not seeing to people, poor staff
Loud music - function in hotel till late trainsvin vicinity - poor sound insulation
That leisure centre closed early
We went to see michael bubblea hotel was perfect had great time after concert and the next day every thing was in walking distance terrific shops
The road works nightmare finding hotel
location ,room was brill,
breakfast food was cold
The hotel staff very friendly and helpful. We arrived to rush off to a concert, I ordered a sandwich from room service on our return which was delivered promptly and very good quality. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas
I asked for a quiet room and was given a very small room at the back of the hotel overlooking railway sheds. For the price £150 for a double room I would have expected a nicer, larger room but it was quiet as I had asked for. Wifi only connect in our room once and then dropped, used 3G
Spacious room and proximity to the railway station. Price was reasonable but I would pay more to stay somewhere else.
Reception not always manned. Key was programmed incorrectly twice resulting in two long walks back to reception. Room was cold. Paid for breakfast upon arrival at 21.00 but when I went for breakfast they did not have it on record I'd paid. After checking they saw I'd paid. Not hot water in the shower. Taps in basin were lose and water sprayed over my trousers. Had to ask after 10 minutes for a cup of tea at breakfast even though on the menu it stated it is served at your table. Just poor service and a hotel that looked tired and in need of renovation.
location, general ambience, awesome staircase, comfy bed, free bottled water & juice. Good bathroom toiletries.
Did NOT appreciate another 23 stairs after the lift to the 4th floor. Room 447 should called The Pidgeon Loft! Very small, no room for even a chair and drab décor. Felt was given the worst room because of booking via a discount site - is this the hotel policy? Are single travellers unimportant?
