Very central location. Nice building as well. The staff were friendly and the rooms were nice. Breakfast was a bit shoddy for the price - there was no orange juice or tea available. The rooms were very noisy, and because of the thin doors, I could hear drunken people coming in at three and four in the morning, shouting down the corridors. |

I booked this weekend to visit my son and celebrate his 21st birthday it also included my wifes 49 birthday and our 22nd wedding anniversary our best friends also came to experience the city for the first time,we've visited Newcastle on 3 occasions before and this was the first time at the Royal station Hotel, Staff could not be any more polite and helpful,The Hotel equalled or surpassed any other hotel we've stayed in, in Newcastle. That we normally used the stairs to get too and from our room and found that some of the stair carpet was thread worn, quite possibly this is a task that is on going and will be remedied soon. This is only a small niggle and certainly did not spoil our weekend in any shape or form. |

I liked the proximity to the town centre and train station. We arrived an hour after check-in, and there was a lot of laundry lying around in the corridor outside the room. The photos on the website showed very modern rooms newly renovated, however on the 4th floor where our room was, they were in the process of renovating. The corridors were very tatty with some exposed cables not yet fitted into the walls, and no wallpaper. The room itself was clean, but disappointing to what i was expecting - given the price. |

A clean and comfortable hotel ideally located adjacent to Newcastle Central Station. Ideal for business, visiting friends and football for away supporters visiting St. James' Park The public aspects of the hotel are in need of a lick of paint, but the rooms themselves are fine |

Nice rooms, old glory entrance, complimentary orange juice and some snacks in the room. Good bed. The room was quite noisy on a weekend night, staff was not friendly but efficient. |

On this occasion - very little. The cold reception received on arrival in complete contrast to my last visit and the cell like single room. I was very disappointed. |

close to the station and metro links a bit shabby in places and they could do with putting double glazing in and in the bathroom frosted glass |

I thought the room was a generous size, considering it was a single. It was very comfortable and the hotel was in a great central location. |

The rooms were newly decorated and the bar was a pleasant place to sit and watch the world go by. Some of the decor in the corridors was very tired and tatty |
