Impressive entrance foyer and chandelier. We liked the view from our bedroom window of the Tyne Bridge and the castle. We were lucky to be able to use one of the hotel's free car parking spaces. We asked for a quiet room amd it was very quiet. Quite a long way from reception to the bedroom, involving having to use some stairs both up and down as well as using the lift

Location was perfect for going out in Newcastle on the Saturday night then heading to the Stadium of Light early on Sunday. Very handy to get to the airport too.

Very friendly staff on arrival. The hotel had character and the room we stayed in was spacious and clean. We had a room that faced the main road but did not hear any traffic noise (as some people had previously commented on).

The leisure facilities - but they were closed the day we wanted to use them!!!!! We only book hotels for the leisure facilities. We stayed for a bank holiday weekend. The leisure facilities were closed on a bank holiday monday!!!!!! This should have been stated on booking as we would have booked another hotel. Very disappointed.

Very central to Newcastle shopping and entertainment center.Location next to train and metro station make it very convenient to travellers from overseas who arrive at Newcastle airport (just a short ride on the metro) Staff are friendly and help full.

I returned to the Royal Station Hotel because of the relaxed atmosphere. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We held our charitie's agm there and the help was excellent. Unobtrusive support and service from the staff. The whole atmosphere was elegant and relaxed we will certainly consider this hotel if we decide on Newcastle next year. My bed was a bit 'lumpy'.

Very friendly staff who looked after your needs. Lovely hotel nice decor. Felt relaxed and comfortable staying there. Great to be next to station as travelled by train and they looked after our luggage after checking out till our train was due. Good location easy to walk to the for show at the sage and near to walk to shops and the baltic. Room at front was noisy due to revellers leaving bars in early hours but after mentioning it to hotel staff they advised us to request a room at the back next time. Suggest guests booking this should be made aware of it on details of hotel on the website that we used to book it. We would have then have had the opportunity to request room at the back before we stayed there!

Very good location, just in the central station. Clean and tidy room. Everything is ok except the noisy fan in the bathroom. Considering its location, it is very noisy outside especially in Friday and Saturday.

Amazing location, beautiful hotel and great staff. Certainly exceeded my expectations, I will be going back as soon as I can. Maids playing the radio loudly at 9am on a Sunday morning. Any other day of the week I can understand but business trips tend not to happen on a weekend so I'm assuming most of the party trips would not be too happy about loud music early on a Sunday morning.

I liked the hotel for its location & Iv always wanted to stay there, its a wonderfull building & handy for the station. Will stay there again it was lovely... :) The stairs to some of the rooms as I had heavy bags it was hard work..
