Royal Station Hotel

The rooms were newly decorated and the bar was a pleasant place to sit and watch the world go by.

Some of the decor in the corridors was very tired and tatty

Elegant old hotel, room modern & clean . Not able to comment on al facilities as a flying visit .

The room was tiny and not very accessable being right at the top of the building.

I was not happy with service of the evening meal I booked from reception ? There were no condiments served with the meal and none in the room ? there was no milk with the tea I ordered ? I used one of three breakfast sachets provided ? I ordered scrambled egg on toast and was told the toast had to made by my self !!! I am disabled and found it difficult to manage ? I ordered tea with breakfast I am still awaiting for the Tea to be served ......

The rooms were spacious and clean, the bed was very comfy and the service was excellent.

Our room was seperated into two rooms, so we couln't watch tv from our bed.

I liked its location, its victorian character, its grand central hall and its modernized rooms.

I wasn't too thrilled about the breakfast: very standard

room was really small and hot - we booked this as it was on offer and it was a fair deal. I would recomend - but with reservations location was central and for a short time that was good enough - but would not have wanted to be in that room longer bed was sml room was tiny

All staff were very friendly

The room was disappointing. The double glazing was not in place which meant train announcements could clearly be heard early morning and late at night. The bathroom was cold, and again the double glazing was not installed. No shaving point in the bathroom.

Excellent location. Our room very spacious and recently refurbished. Better value than other hotels we have used in the city.

Several steps up to front entrance difficult for my elderly mother. I had requested a room with disabled facilities if possible but we were given a room with a very long walk along several corridors and up and down many stairs. However when I complained the staff were extremely helpful and moved us to a much more convenient room - with great views across the city.

The receptionists were very unhelpful, unfriendly and fairly impolite

Recently refurbished bedrooms with quality fittings. Large bathroom with 2 showers - very handy for a quick turnaround!

Lobbies and corridors were dated. Rough, lower-class women wandering round drunk in the early hours.
