The Stuart Hotel    

Comfortable bed. Nice room. Good area in Derby. Very nice staff. Stayed at Christmas too, and breakfast was great. We stay because I visit my daughter and yours is the best value hotel. Ok for a couple of nights but wouldnt stay for more because of the noise from other rooms.

It can be noisy. I didnt sleep well the second night because of the noise from the people upstairs running about and slamming doors. TV was a bit small in room 115 Stayed at Christmas and had the same problem with noisy neighbours. Need more noise insulation.

Very noisy, could hear all sounds (talking, doors, plumbing) from in the room Some parts (and rooms) unbearably hot While communal areas (reception, lounge etc) were very modern, the rooms were quite shabby: old-style TVs, no satellite or even radio vis tv; fridge did not work; very poor lighting

How hot the hotel rooms were and the noise outside our room, we backed onto the carpark.

Good location to Derby city centre.

Was on the 3rd floor .. Extremely hot and stuffy with windows wide open! No heating appeared to be on in room so no way of cooling down. Walls very thin and entry/exit doors to corridor banged shut so was constant noise all night!

Broken fittings in bathroom Dirty sofa and bed-runner Executive room ordered, however extras that should have been in the room where missing, general feel to room was budget not executive which we paid extra for.

Rooms to hot.had to open window.noise from the venue next door stoping me from sleeping.shower low pressure Had to wait 45min for breakfast and the tea and coffee cold.Self service would improve the operation.check the wasted food on on the plates after breakfast. The food waste is your profit Please spot check your operation so you can make some improvements,before its to late.

Close to our venue. Staff very friendly and breakfast next day was excellent. Also great value for money.

Free internet connection in room. Clean, comfortable, centrally located and close to Derby Station for days out. Very good facilities.

I didn't think it necessary to change all the towels and the small bar of soap halfway through a 2-night stay but I appreciated the bathroom being cleaned.

In a convenient location just a few hundred yards from the city centre. Low price so difficult to moan too much.plenty of parking.

First staff contact was very poor but others were ok. Third floor room with no lift which is incredible in this day and age ! air-con fans outside making a racket all night.rooms need some attention ...broken handles, bulbs out. Needs updating.

Rooms were really small and not 4* - worth the discount rate of £34 but wouldn't be worth 50+ as normal

The bed was comfy. Free parking. Very close to town.

The television was rubbish. No wifi. Very average hotel.

Value and location very good for our needs.

Hole on inside of en suite door , silicone come away from bath, shower holder and loo roll holder faulty, and noise from air conditioner outside was noisy . I wouldn't reccomend room 315 though did not complain because of the price of the room was very reasonable, and as we have stayed there before and had been pleased with previous room.

The heating was not working and after a couple of phone calls a repair was attempted with no success. The sink was also blocked.

Paper thin walls.heard lots of room noise ie baby crying noisy neighbours arguing and carrying on in other rooms and in corridor late at night. Also room looked directly on to Ambulance depot, we endured traffic noise and sirens from there. Z

The staff lied about the hotel having wifi in rooms. The quality of sausages at breakfast was low! The bacon was too salty. The carpet in room had seen better days.

Value for money.

The Stuart is in an ideal location for shops, food outlets and of course Alton Towers. Plenty of hot water. Very friendly bar staff

Bathroom was very tired and extremely small. First room has windows that didn't close properly, could hear air conditioning unit. However, was moved to a better room. No lift and was on top floor

All the staff were extremely helpful and showed courtesy with a genuine smile every time we encountered them. Their friendliness and service was a real bonus and made our stay much better than it might have been.

It seem that hotel has seen better days in terms of decor. The shower was positively terrible, with a 5-minute fight in the morning to get it pointing the right way, and inexplicable holes in the wall. The quality was definitely not 4-star, although the room and linen were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was good.

The best thing about the hotel was the location to ammenities.

Rooms too small, stairway to first floor dangerous especially the door at the top of the stairs when lifting cases, hallway between rooms was so warm it caused the rooms to be stuffy, even with a window open, you need to turn the heating of in the hall way.

Very obliging friendly staff, food was excellent, served in pleasant surroundings
