    The rooms were clean and comfy.

    A good sized room in a pleasant hotel. A choice of two restaurants English and Italian, the food in the English one was excellent the Italian too busy to try. The breakfast was good too with a selection of pastries, cereal, fruit and full English. Pleasant and friendly staff in all areas.

    Bed had a lump in it so slept over duvet to soften it

    Fallen angels PERFECT. All staff excellent just needs a few small things changing to complete an enjoyable stay. The small things make a big differance

    Pillows rock hard uncomfortable nights sleep or lack off for an executive room it should be a lot better. Bar area needs updating. Poor breakfast just tasted of grease.

    Despite functions going on the noise was not audible in the rooms. Food was lovely both the breakfast and the restaurant.

    Service at the restaurant was a bit slow.

    Lovely food.. comfortable bed and excellent reception staff

    Ground floor room facing the yard meant noise from early morning deliveries which was the only let down

    The beds! Very soft and comfortable :) And the lady on reception - very helpful :)

    The location of the room. Overlooking the back of the hotel and staff entrance areas. The loud rattling of the bottle bins being wheeled along was a nuisance.

    Friendly Staff, lovely building (old part), value for money, v good breakfast

    Room 100 was overlooking bins and had bad humming from air conditioning and was where kitchen staff took breaks, but al this was minor

    We enjoyed our visit to the Royal Toby however our only critism was the restaurant floor had not been vacuumed for breakfast time. probably just an oversight but non the less very important.

    located in quiet neighbourhood but close to town. friendly staff. very clean. food was excellent and a good bar range of ales. really pleased by value for money. staff all worked really well.

    door handle on the inside of the bathroom door was broken/ missing in room 202. but other than that it was an excellent place to stay.

    The staff had a very pleasant attitude and nothing appeared too much trouble. Restaraunt has a good choice and at the time of my visit a two course meal of good standard was just more than £11.

    First morning we had freshly cooked breakfast which was great. Other mornings it was buffet and food could have been hotter and not sitting around for so long. Dinners and service in both restaurants was superb

    Room a bit dark and nets had to be kept closed most of the time as the room faced sitting out area. As we were not on business the breakfast times finished a bit early. A garden to walk around would have been nice. Some other guests not very considerate with doors slamming in the early hours of the morning.

    Ease of checking in, staff in reception very helpful, friendly and courteous , a high standard of cleanliness throughout the site, ample free parking, fast consistent wi-fi, good sized bathroom with more than enough towels.

    The lack of ventilation in the rooms we occupied on the 1st floor, very firm mattresses, lack of even a very small fridge during such hot weather (although I believe ice was available near reception).

    The reception staff were as good as gold ,but handicapped by the fact the lift was out of order and had been for 4 days .We were on the top floor which meant a four flight stair climb with a heavy suitcase which with my medical state could'nt attempt.

    The receptionist had to do it which I felt very uncomfortable with.It is unforgivable that a lift is out of action for a day let alone 4 and all the excuses in the world cannot hide that.There as to be some radical review regarding this scenario ever occuring again and if it as happened before the maintainence regime or its architect would have been sacked in my companies. Moving on to the restuaraunt .we booked a table for four and drank an aperitiff at the table close to the bar our conversation constantly interuppted by a member of the bar staff taking ice from the ice bucket for drinks both at the bar and in the restaraunt,although I doubt she was doing it on purpose she was making a din and also dropping empty bottles into the bin from a hieght that was close to them shattering.These might sound petty complaints but they are subjective and did spoil the ambience. Finally after a lovely meal and excellent service we ordered a taxi for my guests asking a member of staff to find a reliable company after a thirty minute wait when the request had been for twenty I asked were the taxi was .Eventually the resturaunt manager who I had booked the meal with who knew our surname informed me the cab was outside.We proceeded outside and an unmarked car arrived .the driver said he was here for Jimmy as none of us were called Jimmy and no one else was waiting we assumed he was picking up staff. He then left empty .We asked the manager again were was the taxi and he informed us it had been and gone.We waited another ten minutes and the same car duly arrived ,I asked the driver who he was picking up and he repeated the name jimmy I asked him were he was booked to go to and he said Littleborough exactly were we had informed the staff when booking the car.This episode nearly ruined a perfect evening my point is if you are going to use Taxi firms make sure the drivers speak english make sure they will get out of the car and enquire as to who they are picking up before driving...

    The whole experience, attentive staff,ambience in the restaurant and bar. The room lacked nothing that was required. It was a great 2 day stay.

    Cannot think of anything I didn't like.

    Got this at a good price. It is a nice, clean hotel with a good breakfast. I will return the next time I am in Heywood.

    Lift not working and being on the fourth floor.

    Staff was helpful and polite, the size of the room was just right for our short stay, facilities inside the room was good standard

    The bed seemed short, im 5ft 7 and my feet upto my ankles were hanging over the bottom of the bed, not to mention my 6ft 1 boyfriend
