Being next to laundry room n laundry pilled up in hallway
Breakfast was amazing, varied choices and lovely surroundings.
Very helpful staff Food
Carpets need replacing Duvet far too heavy for the time of year. Don't they realise it is summer!
Lovely staff very helpful. fixed price menu good food excellent value. Close to town lovely spot. Room was a very good size and very nice.
one very minor point the pillows.
A fabulous setting, extremely helpful staff, and a great breakfast ! The wonderful selection of beers was an added bonus that complimented the relaxed atmosphere of the hotel. I loved it ! The hotel is a little tired in places but these are easily overlooked.
My room (3) was somewhat noisy, but otherwise it was comfortable and clean
The young receptionist on the second day was really nice. The hotel.
The noise from a generator in the first room we had we had to move rooms which the staff did very efficiently

Friendly approachable owner Friendly courteous attentive knowledgeable staff Cleanliness Bedrooms Location
Very attentive and friendly staff.very comfy bed
The room was tired looking and in need of a refresh. No where for toiletries in shower cubicle. Toilet hard to flush
Victorian feeling, very friendly staff, great space
staff were fantastic very friendly smiley and very helpful
decor/furnishings worn - smelly corridors maybe due to old carpet No air-con bed uncomfortable
The breakfast was very good with a good choice on the menu. Also the Chef cooked myself an Omelette on both mornings of our stay which wasn't on the menu. Staff were helpful and tried to make our stay accommodating however the points opposite were a big failure of the Hotel.
On arrival no hot water which after a long drive down was very disappointing. This continued to be a problem on and off throughout our stay along with a non flushing toilet in one of our rooms.
Filthy tired room and hotel.
Excellent welcome, shown to room which was big and clean. Bar service and food very good, nice feel to this hotel.
Maybe a lick off pait on windows as lookinga bit tatty on outside window frames.
The room was nicely decorated, the bath tube was lovely! The lady on reception was very kind and helpful. Nice atmosphere in bar. If we had stayed another night would have tried the restaurant out as menu looked good.
My partner would have liked more than than one sausage and one bacon on his breakfast! but it would have been perfect for me. Scrambled eggs were a bit solid, try using real butter and cream!!
Very friendly and welcoming staff and great value set course evening meal for under £15, also excellent breakfast. Wonderful old hotel, decor a bit tired but more than compensated by lovely elegant furniture and the biggest bath I've ever seen! Well worth a visit.
The House, the City, the Houses and Gardens in Kent
The english breakfast - sorry for that.
Restaurant was good and breakfast was good
Room very small, with shabby furniture.Car parking inadequate and badly managed.Too expensive for these standards.
Breakfast - good portions and delicious Frequent coffee refills Comfortable bed Quiet room Complementary bottles of water Beautiful facade and entrance hall
Bathroom and Some of paintwork etc we're a bit tired, but not a problem at the price we paid
The staff were fautless - polite, knowledgeable & very efficient.
Great location, tasteful decor and good staff
Staff very welcoming, nice ambience as older property, had a lovely large room, clean, comfy bed. Breakfast very nice. Reasonable rates.
Bathroom in need of redecoration, room a bit 'tired' but lots of character - upkeep must be expensive in older property of this type. Don't let that put you off!
It was convenient for the location of a wedding we were going to.
The outside needed a repaint.
The attitude of the staff was very good and the restaurant was comfortable. Quality of the food was good and served on hot plates.
Reception was basic and bills had all the wrong items booked to them. The room was care worn but clean.I was unable to have any windows open as there was a very noisy extraction motor running outside.I had to complain as the music from directly below the room was extremely loud, the bass was shaking items in the room, the base was reduced after complaint.
