The room was very clean n comfortable with all the basic facilities. Location and parking is excellent. Good breakfast.
Breakfast spread could have been wider. Bathroom was a bit too small.
Good location for someone with a car. Ample private parking. Very good cooked breakfast. The rooms were very peaceful for a good nights sleep.
The TV was located in an awkward place on the bedroom wall.
The Breakfast The Quiet
The location was ideal for us, about 10 minute walk to the town centre and it was a flat road there,we travelled with my dad who needs a wheelchair, so easy access to town. Lovely room and excellent breakfast, very varied. Would definitely recommend this guest house.
Breakfast was excellent. There was plenty of choice for both continental and full breakfast. The room was comfortable.
The en-suite could be upgraded and the extractor fan was very noisy.
Location was great....near grocery and downtown. Host was helpful...great breakfast!!
It was close to town Center
Our room was very clean, and there were good cookies in the room. It was a great location, but we didn't realize how close it was to town until the end of the trip.
For the price our room was very small, the ceilings very low, and the shower quit on us in the middle of the shower.
helpful staff good breakfast comfortable bed safe parking.
Pre-made tea in an insulated container at breakfast /boiling water and a teapot would be better. Traffic noise with bedroom window open
off road parking for moterbikes / handy for town center
Good breakfast choice .
Got room one which is downstairs in main hall across from dining room was very noisy at times with other guest comming and going and upstair noise .was clean and tidy.
Warm wlecome by the landlord. Always available to answer questions. very helpfull to find our way arround the location.
Our host was delightful. We got off to a rocky start with us arriving a day earlier than our booking. He went out of his way to move things around to make room for us. He reminds me a bit of Craig Ferguson, of late night TV, slightly gruff on the outside, a sweet heart on the inside.
In a good position near to centre of Inverness for shops and restuarants. Very comfortable room and nicely furnished. Good selection for breakfast.
The owner Mr. Mckellar was very warm and accommodating. He was also very helpful in providing info on places to visit and things to do. We liked the fact that they provided new shampoos and gels every day when they cleaned your room. All in all we had a fabulous stay, would certainly visit again and would definitely recommend Royston Guesthouse.
Good location. Lovely room. Friendly owner. Good facilities. Secure off road parking. Lovely breakfast.
Nothing to dislike
We liked Ross the owner, the room #1 was nice, the breakfast was great, parking lot was ample, the place was not too big, it was close to town, we enjoyed our stay.
Wifi worked but was a little troublesome for our old Yankee equipment.
Liked everything, the WiFi is poor in the common living room but excellent in the room. Very good value for money!
The room although small was adequate and the bed was very comfortable. We were served a delicious home cooked English breakfast which prepared us for our onward journey.
Didn't use the WiFi so can't comment but the service, facilities, comfort, cleanliness and value for money were excellent.
The staff was not friendly.
Nothing. The owner was the rudest B&B owner we have ever encountered. He never introduced himself. We stayed 2 nights in the smallest rooms we have ever been in. 0/10
Everything. The rudest B&B owner we have ever encountered. The room and ensuite were just too small. 0/10
Very comfortable bed, very good breakfast, down-to-earth owner, very quick web access, very good value for money.
I like the whole Scottish feel, from the decor: tartan carpet, front sitting room, breakfast area, pictures on the way, Scottish breakfast, cute rooms with slanted ceilings, tea and biscuits in the room etc. The owner was exceptional at running his business (great thought and care is put into running this business), very clean, tons of breakfast options and tasty, personable, good T.v options (enough channels), Scottish homey feel (just what a foreigner wants to experience when traveling, be immersed in the culture as much as possible). A deceit location if you don't mind getting some exercise, close enough to mall, train/bus stations and main part of the city isn't that far. I wouldn't not recommend elderly, small children or others walking unless in good shape, take a cab. Take a cab with your luggage to and from the train/bus stations (about 3 min. drive) unless you don't mind toting some distance or you have a traveler's backpack.
I believe we had to pay in the local currency and wouldn't take a credit card. The traveler just has to think ahead and be prepared. I don't like carrying a bunch of cash on me when traveling and trying to run around and find banks that will do banking with my foreign currency and banking hours etc. Couldn't understand how to operate the shower, finally got it, this is more of a cultural thing I guess, I don't even know if putting instructions would work or just seem tacky...but when it comes down to it I do not want to have to struggle to try and take a shower.....we actually thought it was broken and were going to complain...my bad.
Handy location for city centre, car park, comfortable bed, great breakfast.
Nowhere to hang towels in bathroom.
