Comfortable quiet room at rear of B & B. View of passing trains from the breakfast room! It is a 10 to 15 minutes' walk beside a busy dual carriageway to reach the station & shops, but there are frequent buses if needed (if you can work out the myriad of route numbers). Some of the breakfast items could have been of a better quality, in particular the yogurts & sausages.

The room was clean and well appointed with plenty of drawer and wardrobe space. A nice lounge area for guests. Piping hot breakfast served at table and good choice on buffet. Two establishments close by for evening meals. The owner was friendly and offered local advice. I would recommend staying here to friends and family.

Conveniently located - close to the town centre and major shopping places. Nice clean room, spacious shower. The hotel owner (or whoever is the only member of staff which comes to the guests) is utterly unfriendly: kept us at the door for a good few minutes while he was figuring out if we've got a reservation in his place (we didn't print it, but usually you just say your name, and they have your details, whereas he requested booking number which we had to search for); and then he kept throwing out "jokes" in the way "so, how much are you paying for your stay?" which put us off quite a lot. All in all, next time we'd rather stay in Premier Inn which is just across the road from this one and cost the same for ways better service.

The location was within a 10 minute walk from the city centre and there was free parking at the rear of the guest house. The room was cleaned every day and tea and coffee making facilities were available. The room was fairly small but comfortable. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was reasonable. Maps of the local area were provided free of charge as was other information sheets to help you plan your days. Free wi-fi was also available. The price for the weekend was fairly expensive for bed and breakfast with limited facilities. The decor was dated and the place could have benefited from freshening up and modernisation.

Housekeeper has a anger-management problem. We had to take a shower after a-day-walking journey. We got to this guest house around 10:30. But the shower didn't work. So I couldn't help but waking him up by ringing the bell. He showed up with this attitude rather intimidating me saying something like "I would force you to leave my house for this." I might have woken another guests but he shouldn't have acted like that as a owner. Unpleasant experience ever. I have traveled around the world and he topped for his ill manners.

The owner is friendly, accommodating, & cooks a great breakfast. Was traveling with my aging mother; we both greatly enjoyed our stay & appreciated our host's great sense of humor & the fact that he goes out of his way to make his guests welcome. Would stay there again & recommend it to others.

Cooperative owner. Good breakfast. Good bed. Located about a ten minutes walk from the centre of town. Very small room. Too high a price for the room we feel. It is near the centre of town and may be that determines the price?
