Excellant staff, cheerful & helpful. Carvery meal and english breakfast were first class and room was good, especially size of bed. Very good location for sightseeing and underground. A fabulous place Price of cappacino a bit over the top but can be overlooked given all other factors |

The Service at the main bar. Tiny room at a considerable rate, very old fashion style which is not to my taste. |

The location 1- Old and poorly maintained. The timberwork of the corridor floor creaked alarmingly under the worn-out carpet with every step. 2: I asked a room with a view to the Mews and was given one with a view to a shabby courtyard. 3: Having one's Credit Card data was not sufficient guarantee for them. They charge the stay upon reservation (this was advised by Booking) but they also would "freeze" a generous amount on you card in case you you want to debit to your room account any extra services (Booking does not warn of this) 4- For 194 GBPs without breakfast, the room was shockingly small (barely 11 sq.metres). 5- The headbord uphostery had a huge stain in the middle (I took photos). 6- The toilet smelled heavily of stagnant water |

Comfortable and quiet in a very handy location. I did think it was a bit over priced, but that is London for you! |

We liked it's location--directly across the street from Buckingham Palace, within walking distance of historic attractions, theatre district, and restaurants. City and tourist bus lines were directly in front of the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. |

The location was ideal for sightseeing in London. Tube and train service was very convenient. Double bed would have been better as a queen. |

Location, curtesy and competent staff; restaurant and food Uncomfortable bed and the most creaky and noisy floors in the room of any hotel stay and we have stayed in a lot of old hotels |

The staff and the high quality of the service , the climate of the hotel, the quality of the bed. I have been extremely disappointed by the noise we had in the room. We heard the bathroom and the restroom of the room next to ours, as if we were in their bathroom. We also heard the TV in the evening and could guess the channel they looked at. |

Location and helpfulness of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel itself was lovely but the double room was very small. One of us had to sit on the bed if the other was standing. |

The welcoming and helpful attitude of the staff was exceptional and stayed good throughout our stay. The location of the hotel was perfect for our visit to Buckingham Palace as it was for the buses to the West End for eating and shopping. The bedroom was appallingly small - far too small to be called a double bedroom. This fact when considered with a room rate of £148 per night rendered this hotel very bad value indeed. With breakfast at £36 for two people we ate croissants from m and s in our room, and with tea at £4.75 a cup we went elsewhere for this. |

Although situated in a busy city centre, the hotel exuded a haven of peace which was enhanced by all the staff by their quiet, efficient and courteous manner. Nothing was too much trouble and room service response was excellent. |
