I went to Bath Academy of Art eons ago in Corsham. Loved it then and love it now. Stunningly beautiful walks in and around the village, accessibility by bus x2 per hour into Chippenham and Bath, Corsham Court and the beautiful gardens to visit as well as the Pound Arts Centre, what's not to like?So here are a few photos to give you an idea of what's on offer.

It’s clearly isn’t it you’d think down to the management to clearly ask the question to are we just cancelling the car parking charge or cancelling the whole booking so we’re was there duty of care to us instead they take all my money I actually thought was £460 whilst looking back on this booking it was actually £479 something pence they claimed they have staff to consider paying and couldn’t rekey the room so loose out themselfs basically so I ask again we’re is the duty of care to us intact as I “said” it’s shameful disgusting and as for looking at the small print there policy “they are at fault I believe for clearly assuming not phoning or emailing us back to ask if this was the care parking fee or whole booking being cancelled ! They clearly could of comprised with given half of our money back “But it’s greed on there behalf losing out them selfs and don’t believe our room was not given to another customer especially sitting lying empty for 4 days oh no they clearly are unprofessional

This hotel is unique it’s not like a run of the mill hotel it’s like going to your friends country house ,things I like very much 4 lounges to sit read drink and chat,no signs so it doesn’t look like a commercial unit, wonderful art and books great food ,great team to look after you the whole place is very restful with big garden grounds we will go again. But I can see why it’s not everyone’s cup of tea they need to do more research into where they want to stay,we loved the Rudole arms !

We travelled to heavenly retreat in Corsham as we wanted to enjoy the Christmas markets in Bath. We jumped on the bus which is 2 minutes from the property. The property itself is along a quiet road, the bedroom is light and nicely decorated. We had breakfast in the dining area and wow what an amazing dining/kitchen area, full of beautiful plants and decorations. The breakfast was absolutely 10/10, the banana bread is a must.

It’s a beautiful old house set in gorgeous gardens with a lake. There’s even a croquet lawn. I loved the furnishing of the hotel with antiques and vintage furniture combined with high standards of cleanliness and attention to detail and comfort. The staff were friendly and helpful. It’s just a 5 minute drive into Corsham where you can the stunning Corsham Court and it’s gardens landscapes by Capability Brown.

The Methuen Arms was a really lovely place. My partner and myself stayed in room one which was excellent. All the staff were really helpful. Rose on reception was particularly helpful and had a great sense of humour !!! The restaurant had really nice food. Plus there is a few restaurants just beside the Methuen Arms. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area for travel or leisure.

Nice quiet area. The picture above is not the house we stayed in? We stayed in the two bedroom one. Well stocked fridge for breakfast. Ongoing work to the property will be lovely when it's done, the property has lots of potential, just needs tweaking. Nice owners.
